C19 is currently out of stock. Macquarie is buying C19 at RM0.155 or RM0.16 currently around 21150-21160. Currently the Bid Price and Ask Price are RM0.18, RM185 respectively. Wish they would come down...

If I remember correctly, you will receive a check sent by Macquarie. Usually we do not keep warrants until expiry.

note that there are still people queuing to sell HU and C17. They should have sold them earlier, the latest before the market maker done for the day at 4.13pm

AAX and especially Airasia look bad. I expect the downward tend would continue so would sell first and buy them back later.

earle100, you are right. Usually people keep index-based warrants for a short time -- within an hour, a few hours, a few days etc.

eagle100, HU is out of money but C17 is in the money. Observe their prices. We should be able to tell which one still have value and which one is worthless. Hopefully next time you will not hesitate to play those expiring within a month. They are not as risky as people think.

you are right, the last day of trading C17 is 25 Apr 2016. So, it is more suitable for intra-day trading. Like the research that I have done, warrants lose about 2-3 sen a day with 1 week remaining.

I am waiting for Shanghai market to stabilize before buying C17

C17 is very responsive because it is in the money and also expire in 1-2 weeks time. In fact, it moves when HSI future moves every 15 points. When the HSI future moves up, C17 will also move up very fast. But when HSI future falls, be ready to sell without hesitation

For Macquarie warrants, they have Live Matrix that show what the Buying Price and Selling Price of the warrants for the underlying HSI future index

why C15 does not move?
the Exercice Price for C15 is 23,800 and it will expire this month. It is out of money and the chance that HSI future will reach 23,800 is very slim. That is why the price of C15 remains low

US data tonight not very good, especially Core Retail Sales (MoM) (Mar)

flyingkite, only when the HSI future moves a lot you will see good movement on warrants like C16 (in percentage term). Besides, the risk is high with C16 that I assume people will only buy smaller lot. There is reason why a warrant is sold cheap, usually that means it is way out of money. You can check the graph of HQ. HQ did not end well.

by the way, C17 ended at 34 sen.

flyingkite, those warrants expired in the same month and closer to the HSI future are very responsive. That means:
a) if you think you are wrong, you are advised to cut immediately matching Buying Price, do not queue. The difference between the Buying Price and Sell Price is RM0.005. Maybe cut loss is such a scary term, maybe you can think this way -- sell high first so that you are able to buy it cheaper.
b) when you buy, you buy matching the Sell Price, at least buy some matching the Sell Price. It is better than buying nothing at all. The difference between the Buying Price and Sell Price is RM0.005. Usually the move should be big enough to cover this difference.

Macquarie offers RM0.025 for C16 if HSI FUTURE 20,932 and below
