NEW Silterra will report clean and profit like X fab.

a factory in US does not seems to be very exciting as the cost is high over there. Also the vaccination rate over there is not very high as people are sceptical. Not sure if it is worth it.

If share price is also normalised, losses will not be small. To be prudent, I think it is a good idea to sell high now and buy back later.

To be honest, this was not the "slow drop" that I expected. Now we have a clearer picture. I see ZERO UPSIDE FOR SOME TIME. Revenues and profits are dropping. Pardon me but I just do not see a reason to keep glove stock for now. And then we have to worry about low ASP and competition maybe for some time. God knows how long we have to wait. if it is a long wait, I think sell now and buy it back later is probably our best choice now.

well apparently the previous operator was not capable of pushing this stock and wanted to clear stock only. Perhaps we can swap (some or all) our share to other stocks first. Better than doing nothing as many other stocks are moving upwards.

Glove counters' share prices may go back to the pre-pandemic level. There are a lot of room to drop if that happens. The quarterly reports are still looking good but share prices do not move. Just imagine what will happen when the quarterly reports are not good, which will happen sooner or later. The last time we had oversupply issue in the shipping industry, the downtrend lasted more than 10 years. The share price become peanut. It is no joke.

this counter behaves very fishy to me. I don't know... maybe big fund wants to force existing investors to sell. Let us see the next few days...

Tomei's quarterly reports are no joke. The last 3 QR is about 9 sen per share, per quarter. At this price, P/E is 4. I think this is the main reason for the price increase.

I did not expect today to be this bad considering what happened to Nasdaq last week. Better avoid tech counters for now as they are pretty weak.

copper is their raw material. Metrod doesn’t own copper mines and they have to buy copper to manufacture copper wires. Cooper price has increased so their cost is higher now. We can not expect they earn like MSC (who operates a mine). We also can not expect they earn like steel counters. Why? If you take a look of the margin of Metrod and Tawin, you will see their margin is really low, as it is less than 1% for the last 5 years (the highest is 3.8% in the last 10 years). In fact, here is what the management told us in the last quarterly report:

"LME copper prices have increased sharply. Credit, commercial and security risks are
expected to remain high due to volatile copper prices and currency and the uncertainties
surrounding weak economic sentiment and forecasts. Margins remain under significant
pressure. The Group is able to manage the copper and exchange exposure due to its
hedging policies."

I just hope people understand what they pay for before they buy this counter. Some people may have bought this counter because of the wrong reason. They may have bought this counter as they notice the price of copper has increased and so they expect their earnings will be excellent. My expectation about their future earnings is pretty low as their cost is higher due to higher copper price and based on their history.

Big fund has started to reduced their stakes since May 5th. Be careful.
