QR is a lot worse than expected. Not sure what happened. We may see 50-60 sen again. What is the point for company to buy back share at 90 sen?????

I know there are people who are worried about QR result, and share price may take a hit if people do not like the QR. But as MFCB shows, it is not about the past, it is about the future. Thus any price weakness is a chance to top up.

Unfortunately we have to wait maybe 1 more year for concrete proof in the form of earnings.

If you have any doubts, sometimes I do, just check out MFCB.

Public Bank has revised upward the target price of MFCB a few times, the latest is RM6.29 on January 16th, 2020.

Jaks only have 30% stake currently. It is a GREAT move to increase its stake to 40%. They'd better find a way to do it. Whether it is Private Placement or Right Issue does not matter.

elbrutus, I read the sections Chairman's Statement together with Management Discussion and Analysis in Annual Report 2018. There was no mention of future right issue. Jaks did have 2 corporate exercise in 2018 -- Private Placement of shares and Renounceable Rights Issue of Warrants

It is difficult to determine the return at the moment. Not sure if Jaks will give dividend or not

Not sure why the revenue dropped. However, the profit margin further improved from 2% last quarter to 3.2%. This was why the gross profit was roughly the same as in the same period lat year despite the drop in revenue. Also gross profit was the 2nd highest despite the revenue was the lowest of the last 5 quarters!

You do not see price up 20 sen very often, so there are probably more sellers than buyers when market opens on Friday.

I also think big guys will sell tech stocks before the quarterly results, likely to be bad. Tech stocks have up too much. Probably have to wait next year to see good quarterly results.

I think JAKS is a very good example that we should keep an open mind. Any stock can be a bad stock one day and a good stock another day. We should also keep an cool mind and do not let past memory and experience influence future decision.

volume of these 3 days is higher than usual... Up up slowly is good

I notice it is usually the big funds who sell aggressively after a bad QR. The volume on Feb 27th was huge, over 80000 lots. Share price was pushed and gapped up twice later. I believe the big fund is still in this stock and it may take time for it to reduce its stock if it decide to sell. Thus we may see down trend. If so, any rebound is a sell. Well, I hope I am wrong...
