Most companies want to offer rights issue when their stock price is high. But it is wrong to think a pump and dump scheme and Anzo deliberately raised the stock price. When the stock price was high, Anzo offered a rights issue.That's all.

I invested a small amount of money in Anzo.

When risk-off sentiment prevails, prices of high dividened stocks do not plunge, but drop. In contrat, the price of gold surges when when risk-off sentiment prevails.

I don't see any advantage of investing in high dividened stocks when risk-on sentiment prevails or the economy is very good. Maybe you can invest in high dividened stocks to prepare for risk-off sentiment like the North Korea tensions. But alternatively, you can invest in gold.

Stocks with high dividends outperform the market most when risk-off sentiment prevails or the economy is bad.

While dividend-paying stocks have outperformed on average over time, they have not outperformed in all market environments. In the 1990s, as highflying tech stocks with limited earnings commanded premium multiples, non-dividend-paying stocks meaningfully outperformed, besting dividend payers by nearly 5% per annum. That trend reversed in the 2000s as the tech bubble burst and non-dividend payers produced a negative return.

Risk-off sentiment is something like the North Korea tensions and big sell-off. In these circumstances investors avoid buying stocks. There were multiple reasons why Pentamaster used to be bearish.

First, ringgit was strong, and USD was weak. But USDMYR has risen after the FOMC meeting.
If USD and MYR are both strong, USDMYR may go up.

Second, as you know the North Korea problem persisted. But it seems like the tensions have eased off.

Third, Pentamster's valuation was quite high, so price correction took place.
But price correction was done.

I think it's a good time to buy semiconductor stocks.

26 Sep 2017 is next Tuesday. Just wait.

Other semiconductor stocks like Pentamaster and Unisem may weaken a lot when risk-off sentiment prevails. KESM is very safe.
