1) The outcome of Melaka poll will be very interesting. I suspect some ADUNs can claim victory just less than 100 votes majority..therefore tak kira lah memang 100 votes atau memang 10,000 votes. A victory is still a victory. And we cannot say that ADUN itu nasib baik, memang 50 votes pun boleh jadi ADUN. The same scenerio can be applied to yesterday rally event. Among the people here, guess you know most about semiconductor and can write precisely based on what you know (not like others who are good in cut and paste information) about semiconductor,.. IDM, pure foundry and fabless. The wafer yield is also based of the complexity of the IC design and its processes. Thus defect dices are inevitable... The price per wafer also varies depending on the complexity of the design. Thus the 46K brings nothing much not until we know exactly the final product.
So many unknown variables here, and yet some experts here can really workout a formula to determine what they like to determine....

I am pretty sure the 200mm technology will be here to stay for a very long time. The 200mm technology processes are matured thus obtaining high wafer yield is great.
When you mentioned 200mm is just for car chips, the next thing that comes to my mind is either you don't know much about the 200mm technology or you have lack ability to understand technical staff. Apart from automobility chips, 200 mm technology also good for RF chips (like 5G, IoT, RBS), sensor chips... just to name a few. Knowing English and writing here will not impress me much. Knowing English and writing with technical know how will impress me much.

The price of wafer is not only depended on the quantity of wafer produced each month only. The price for each wafer is very much depend in the complexity of the IC design. Then this complex IC design will map into the wafer with layer of processes. The more layer of process will determine the complexity of the IC design and hence the price also goes in tandem. This thing is achievable with CGP help.
Apart from pure foundry (semiconductor upstream business) that SilTerra is having now, SilTerra is going to venture into downstream business like die packing and testing.. With this business model in place, we can see SilTerra is the ONLY semiconductor in Malaysia that provide Just In Time process from end to end. Need I mention more how much money can SilTerra make in future. Inari, MPI, Unisee are just the downstream semiconductor that provide IC testing only.
SilTerra business model is excellent now. But, the execution part is yet to find out... Only time can tell.
