Please see announcements today. Director sold off warrants and mother shares. Will them regret ah?:) Or [此地無銀三百兩?]

Luckily yesterday the quarterly result was out and solid beautiful. It calms the investor's emotion. Or else, today's morning price slide from 1.69 to 1.64 within half an hour would have created a panic selling.

With the latest PE less than 6, it is still a good counter to hold.

Nice to see you here. Yeah, i still encounter a bit of paper loss on this counter. The main reason is I took up all right issues. But now is ok, price rebounded and 5 cts dividend awaits me:)
Hope this share will doing well like AEONCR.

Hi Huang & apprentice,
For long term stable investment, my 1st pick is oil palm plantation counter.

1. Usually a company making money by providing products/services. Oil palm company provides crude oil, refinery service, down stream bio related products...

2. Additional return from oil palm company is its land. Land's value will appreciate automatically when time goes on, it's like a by-product and will grow with time.

Just for sharing only.

Hi Huang, nice meeting you here too.
you did a very details calculation.
1. I use the same calculation method except I did not take in the processing cost incurred as you did. i just do a very rough calculation to conclude than extra gain is less than 0.5%.

2. The dividend on other hand, cannot 100% conclude as % of return because the share price will be adjusted after the ex-date, it is our cash out money if share price does not goes up to before ex-date price. [Then, it comes back to capital gain matter. If not capital gain, dividend is not "dividend" anymore].

This is my viewpoint:)

Be patient, for now until the ex-date of dividend still have 1 month+. Then, may be another month again to get the dividend.
AGM will announce the DRP discounted subscribe price and the ex-date. If the offer price is very attractive, then ppl will start accumulating the share until ex-date. Then, the price may goes up.

AGM will not boost the price unless there is a confirmation on very influential info..:)
Positive thinking...there is still a month time the price will creeping up for dividend:)

Hi @Apprentice,
1. I am comparing taking up the DRP with NOT taking up the DRP. In either case, we still bag the dividend. So I do not take in the dividend for comparison.

2. @ Huang's expalnation above well described the scenario.

3. There are some DRP calculators on net. You may try to calculate and compare the differences between taking up DRP and not taking up DRP.

@Huang, i share same view points as you. I target to get 10% return inclusive of dividends + capital gain on MBB. For counter with DRP, the EPS will dilute with more issued share. If can get capital gain, I consider it as a bonus.
Personnaly I don't like DRP of MBB cos it will only increase overall return by less than 0.5% inclusive of saving on brokerage fee.

Everyday 24.98.
Everyday has a selling road block at 25.00. What is the motive behind that?

Announced dividend only. Not yet ex. After ex-date, only the price will reduce to accommodate dividend paid. Ex-date is 29-04-2014. It is a waiting game:)

Thank you #aliyusof#.
In that case, Price: 2.17; EPS: 24.67 sen; P/E ratio: 8.8, very close to before right issue exercise last year. After the DRP, i guess the price should be around 2.30~2.40, which is about P/E 10; as it touched RM3+ level before the recent right issue.
Those who fully subscribed recent right issue share still having about 10% paper loss with current market price. If share price goes up to RM2.40, it only level the price before right issue. I guess those major shareholders hate to see red on their book.

If compare to similar business nature company like AEON CREDIT, MBSB's performance is far behind their competitor even backed up by government/EPF.

For me, the main reason to keep this share is as per #Investeye# view points. To expect MBSB to earn EPS like AEONCR in few years time is just too harsh on MBSB management.

Hello Buddy, anyone know what is value/quantity of share buy-back acquired by PBB itself? Just curious if PBB gives them out to share holder how much would it be?

After DRP, the share volume will increase again and will dilute Earning Per Share. I guess share price will not go up tremendously.
By subscribe the DRP with certain discount % and throw the mother share in open market if you want to take profit. Maybank is an example. Maybank also practice DRP.

Before right issue exercise.
Price: 2.75; EPS: 30 sen+; P/E Ratio: About 9.17

I read the latest annual report. The EPS is 37 sen. Is this EPS 37 sen based on the diluted share volume? I am really not very sure even I calculated the share volume again but not sure the increase of share volume is due to ESSO or included the right issue shares? Can Some buddies please advise this?

If the EPS is included the diluted right issue share, the price now is very very attractive.
Price: 2.17; EPS: 37 sen; P/E ratio: 5.9 only.

I agree with #Imseng#. Because of the dividend reinvestment scheme (DRP), major share holder is suppressing the price as the subscribe price for DRP is base on volume-weight average price of the share minus certain %, similar to the right issue process.

why today trading volume so high? because of coming dividend ex-date? or other factor?

1) 0.46 +1.65 = 2.11

2) Before dilute; Share price = 2.70; EPS = 0.35 ; PE ratio = 7.7.
After right issue share listed, EPS will be diluted 0.35 x 2/3 = 0.24. Take same PE ratio 7.7, then 0.24x7.7 = 1.85.

3) Another one:
Current price 2.11, means before Ex price is [2.11 x 3 -1.65]/2 = 2.34. WOW, very cheap!!!

If you are analyst, which one to use ah? :)))

Wow... OR drops like SHXT!
These 2 days, OR traded volume is 18.3M, mother share traded volume is 39M.
1) OR + 1.65 is 6 sen cheaper that 2.17 at today closing price.
2) Supposed buy OR + 1.65 is more worthy than buying the mother share but why there are so many grabs on the mother share?
I thought I am smart by throwing all mother share and grab the OR to have 6 sens buffer...but I think i could have been become a FOOL as there must be a reason why people grab mother share by so much bigger volume and with higher price.
3) From the 6th to 29th, only the original mother share will be trading in the market. I really curious to see what will happen to learn something from this experience..OR could be MBSB will announce dividend reinvestment scheme during this period?

This announcement says that issue price for right issue is fixed at RM1.65, 1 right issue for 2 MBSB share. Wow, very cheap. I expecting the right issue price is around RM2.00...
May be today EGM will know the ex-date. Price should start shooting up.

1. Right issue price not decided yet. RM2.04 is illustration example price.
2. 10/12/2013 EGM will decide the right issue price.
3. Bursa already approved the right issue proposal on 18/11/2013.
4. Proposal is 2 right issue for 5 ordinary share + free warrant together with right issue subscribed.
5. Est Ex-date for right issue - mid of Jan 2014.
6. Est right issue listing in Bursa - end of Jan 2014. GOOD TIMING because impact of diminishing of QE3 is slim.
7. So, from now on until ex-date is approximately 2 months.
8. Year 2011 right issue, price from 1.50 up to 2.50 before ex-date. Pls see price chart.

Current MBSB performance:
1. PE about 6X. Plenty room to grow.
2. Dividend Yield - 12% in year 2012; 6.3% in 2011.[Much better than bank rate]
3. EPS is between 35 sens to 45 sens.
4. NAPS abt RM1.22.

Big player may press down the price before the EGM. But if you can hold for 2 months, this counter will make money.

My opinion only. Judge by your own risk.
