In the whole world the concept of remisier only happens in Malaysia. No other country has it. Its an old license. Powers of remisier was very broad previously. Remisiers could obviously give advice to clients and also prospective clients (this is important and has strong legal implications). Paying a Remisier for advice is obviously not illegal per se.

SC hands are tied coz obviously its black and white ok in the old days. Its a grey area nowadays. Authorities believe that if it is a Grey Area, they will give you the benefit of the doubt.

As such SC will not take any action against any Remisier for a) advice to clients and prospective clients and b) getting paid for advice.

ONLY manipulative actions are prosecutable.

Rule of Law should be ENFORCE....Raising funds in public forum, Charging fees unlicensed, Brokers/Remisiers trading clients account and giving advice all illegal.

Remisiers license is not an Advisory license it is only for execution of trades.

Catch them all.

Simplistic and to think deeper is not SKOREA, JAPAN or other countries will export to Malaysia despite Malaysia steel tariff but the impact on global steel prices for April, May and Jun earnings...think deeper......

tuan tuan dan puan puan sekalian, when there is high tariff where are the excess steel products both flat and long going to flow of course to other places that is profitable, so even if it doesn't affect Malaysia immediately it will have some diluting effect on global steel prices.

Going forward unless steel prices are going to rise further then long steel companies can expect lower margins, as older stocks have been consume. Thus Ceteris paribus, steel companies will be still be profitable albeit lower margins and thus lower valuation can be expected.

According to 1Q17 report.....

OGPC reported PBT of RM4.6 million in current quarter, despite local oil major cut its capital and operational expenditure due to the low crude oil prices. Included in current quarter also share of result of associate from PING of RM4.5 million.

If you look at segment results Energy Revenue RM14.147mn but Profit RM13k.......If it werent for Share of results from PING Energy Segment would be a loss after finance cost and finance income.

Agree with Pavillion, Brent Crude average 2Q17 USD49.406 compared to 1Q17 USD52.946, assume all other IT income flat dont see any catalyst the coming 2Q, moreover due to the one-off in 2Q16 YoY we can expect a high probability of a weaker results, bearing also the larger share float.
