errr... you need to be more patient... as a user of aluminium, LB does best profitably when the aluminium raw material price is on the way up (surprise !!!)
probably higher raw material cost is an indication of stronger demand and pricing power
don't blindly believe me, compare past 5 years aluminium price movement with LB profitability. There is very strong correlation

from now until end 2020 we could be looking at an extended bull run
2019 is pretty obvious. The trade war has more or less been resolved. So it is time to recover
the reason I predict it drags into 2020 is because that year is US presidential election
if I am no wrong, US will usually up during election year. Anybody disagree please provide evidence. I am happy to listen

When Uncle Koon mentioned debt was RM2 per share, he was actually referring to total liabilities, which includes trade payables of 900 mil plus
But if you want to talk payables, you should also talk receivables
If you factor in receivables of 960 mil, net payables turn positive to become 50 mil plus
What debt per share of RM2 ?
And if you factor in further the fixed assets of 1 bil, the whole thing actually turn positive to become 1.50 per share. It is called net asset per share
Idiot
2019-04-02 05:35 | Report Abuse
What RM2 debt per share ? Idiot don't simply believe what Uncle Koon said. Read the accounts to verify first before you shoot.
Interest bearing debts 421 mil, Cash 160 mil
Net debt is hence RM261 mil
Divided by 550 mil shares is 47 Sen per share
Don't blindly follow Uncle Koon. If you do a proper study of his writing record, you will notice that he is not a very truthful writer (but Icon8888 is)
Get it right who is the thief who is the police
Don't simply shoot. You are wasting all of us time
Idiot

trulyinvest debt per share more than RM2? even their CFO also start dispose his share.

If they share swap, the standard practice is to issue replacement warrants (with adjusted exercise price) instead of forcibly take away your warrants at depressed price
In the event of demerger involving distribution of Takaful, you will see Mother shares of BIMB spikes while its warrants exercise price will be adjusted downwards (to reflect capital repayment)
Then we Huat like pig head
I am looking forward to that

that is why I say you better don't be so sure about your judgement

Luckily since I'm here in KL over the next few weeks dealing with the gkent negotiations for m&e portion, I've got a lot of free time. Just found out I have a old friend who knows Steven ang si eeng
From his old days in agilent. Looks like I have a date this evening to dig out some info directly from the horses mouth, hopefully after plying him with huge amounts of alcohol and brotherly hugs.
Much better spending of time then listening to fake fogeys taking bullshit.
One day icon8888 says he is an ex-engineer. Today say he is an ex-banker. I wonder what he will be tomorrow?

somebody painted a black dot on a white canvas
he asked "what do you see ? "
almost everyone says "a black dot"
only one says "white canvas"
in life, most people sees a black dot even though it only occupies 1% of the space
and they fail to see the remaining 99% which is white

But have yet to read it.
But I will do it now. It can be a useful source for my research on the topic "keeping your portfolio fresh and relevant"
just to return favour, I would like to recommend the following book for you

so I am comfortable with certain degree of invisibility
========
(Clark GKent) Philip So your entire investing strategy is based around a company that is betting on 1 customer in the future, which you do not know if it will be a profitable terms or not, and in a country far away which we can't speak the language, know it's geopolitical requirements, or the business fundamentals void of the IPP.

While you guys are busy lamenting about jaks various deficiencies, it has quietly gone up from 45 Sen to the current 77 Sen while Warrants has doubled
In stock market, whoever makes money is king
The rest are all empty talks
Sometime I am very straight forward. Peace bro cheoky
cheoky Jaks isn't the only beauty in bursa. Jaks still got blood defiency. That is a fact. Armada got God Krishna. Jaks got perhaps China vulture lurking to kill it if blood pressure drop too low.
2019-04-01 09:17 | Report Abuse
for me, most of the time, investing is about making decision with imperfect information
I bought Jaks without asking too much about IPP details because as an ex investment banker, I have never seen a deal whereby the voluntary parties will enter into without favourable outcome
it is like you don't need to know the weight of a woman in order to to know she is fat
that is me
of course Philip's questions are valid and it is right for him and many others to ask
