When Petronas started also negative eps and no PE. So what's the difference with Hibiscus now?...remember that Hibiscus just started their business like what Petronas did many many years ago.

Maybe this help to answer the question...at average of 1 million barrel per day of production. Current oil price is US$98.47 per barrel. Assuming minus out cost, their profit is US$50 per barrel. So 1 million x US50 x 3.20 (exchange rate) = RM160 mil PER DAY. If profit at US$30 per barrel it will be RM96 mil PER DAY. That's why Petronas can afford to pay RM27 bil as dividend to the government.

So it all depends on whether they manage to hit oil and how many production well they need to drill and how much oil they get.

Dont PE here now as no concrete numbers yet...we can only assume...once hit oil then you will be able to forecast the right PE. So at this moment we can only assume.

Great post harward57. Buy hibiscus for the future prospect or near future prospect. There's no pe to look at for this counter as they just started their business. Now they have several licenses to drill oil and we know it is matter of time they will hit oil. Company have to starts somewhere. Give them time and with the right management, they will be able to produce the results. Same as we buy other counters now...we look at their future prospect ie growth. Likwise in buying cliq or sona...we look at their future prospect of acquiring a quality asset. So what is the difference with hibiscus is that, they got asset, they got production licenses and now they're drilling...last thing is waiting for the outcome of getting oil.

Support is now at 2.10-2.14...still can go in and if you dont want to ride the future, put a stop loss below it.

matrix, base on your brief discussion, the specialist is right. The problem face by many runners...the problem is call runners knees.
