I have one piece of information to share. The Volume Average Weighted Price(VWAP) of all TopGlove RSS since 4/1/2021 till 13/1/2021 is 5.646 (Total RSS value: RM1,178,647,325 / Total volume : 208,744,500). The RSS activities have come down significantly for the last 2 days, 9.05Mil shares on 11/1/2021 to 3.5Mil on 12/1/2021 and there is no RSS for the morning session today. From my tracking, there was a small short short cover of 3,680,900 shares yesterday(12 Jan), this could be done by either the RSS or PSS(there was 17,992,700 PSS net short position as of 31/12/2020) short sellers.

The PSS short sellers could be in the money as they shorted TG shares much earlier. They might have done the short cover yesterday.

The share price of TG now is 6.63 vs the RSS VWAP 5.646. The RSS short sellers are currently at a loss of about RM208Mil, if they have not cover any of the short position via nominees that we cant track. The best two things that we can combat and win big in this situation are
1) Hold your position, do nothing, just watch the show, have patient, wait for the short sellers to cover their position
2) If you have bullets, consider adding on retracement, there is always some profit taking along the up trend.

If the price of TG continue to move up slowly, the pressure is on the short sellers to buy back. When it happens, all of the holders of TG will prosper.

Clarification, I meant from last monday to thursday, the short seller did not cover their short position.

Bursa's Net Short Position as at 8/1/2021 is for the closing of 7/1/2021. Then the actual net short position is very tally with the RSS from last Monday to Thursday. We need bursa to update Net Short Position as at 11/1/2021(Monday) to know the actual net short at 8/1/2021. The whole of last week data showed that shorties did not cover their short position, or very negligible even they did as there might be some small balance amount from PSS. There might be some panic short cover on last Friday but we will need next report from bursa on the coming Monday.

Ben, thank you for the effort to share this piece of valuable information and analysis. I am also tracking the PSS and RSS data since early December. From my understanding, the date printed on the net short position from bursa should be for a day earlier closing. For example, the latest net short data from bursa stated for 8/jan/2021 was actually for the closing of 7/jan/2021. However the date for total short selling for the day is correct. If you do the net short position date adjustment, you will find that the short seller/s hardly cover any of their position(for all Big4) from Monday to Thursday. We will need to wait for next Monday bursa’s data to see the short position for last Friday. If it still show no cover of short position, the short sellers are in greater risk. A point to note, there were a few days (21 and 22 December) that the short position didn’t change, but all changes were appeared on the 23 December(the changes were more than the total trade volume for the Big4 on 23 December), this could be due to either bursa ‘lazy’ to update or the shorties didn’t update bursa properly. This will confuse the market.

"Since the founding of Supermax, we have adopted the Own Brand Manufacturing (“OBM”) model
whereby we manufacture the products, package and market under our In-house brands. We currently export 55% of production under our own brands via our own distribution centres and 40% through independent distributors. The remaining 5% is for OEM production. Due to the current robust demand, we are taking the opportunity to build new relationships with new customers and distributors in anticipation that they will continue with repeat orders post pandemic."
The key take home value is they are building new relationship with new customers for a sustainable Original Brand Business Model.

If you look at order backlog for TG(>1 year) and Supermax(about 10-12months), the prices are locked in. At least for the next 4 quarters results, the ASP will be higher than their previous quarter

I own both TG and Supermax, to enjoy the best of both world, imagine if TG acquires Supermax, we can leverage on both volume and OBM model, then sky is the limit

@ongong2020, to the contrary, if assuming the same PE for both TG and Supermax, the share price of supermax will be more than TG. Currently Supermax has higher eps for rolling 4 quarters.
You missed out that Supermax has higher margin(lower production cost for the revenue)due to the OBM model.
Of course analysts will always give TG a higher PE for its volume. But the situation may change when the OBM model starts to show result.

The wrong calculation by KYY was pointed out in TG forum may be 2 days ago. Since we know revenue in May > Apr > Mar. June's base revenue should be Q3 revenue divide by 2.xx

There might be some error in the Net profit margin(Superms is a tax entity), the FY20 Net Margin 28.2% vs Operating EBIT Margin 28.3%.
FY21 Net Margin 49.0% vs Operating EBIT Margin 48.5%.
The peers do see significant drop in net margin vs EBIT margin

Money means a lot to many people. But you don't make money by deceiving people, especially when you are already rich and old.
You were just singing so good about Supermax on 18 July, Saturday morning 9:24am. Then you sold 1,057,000 Supermax at Rm18.83 on the following Monday, 20 July. Many ordinary Supermax investors will remember you for that.

Hopefully there will be some dividend this coming reporting. 3 sen is only 30M, a real help to all shareholders

@angxj the closing price was 3.24 on 9 Nov, theoretical next opening price should be 3.24/2.4 which was 1.35. This counter has dropped more that 30% since then
