Usually, the price will go down towards the rights issue price, as investors who do not want to increase their exposure to MRCG (i.e. they do not want to pump in more money for the subscription of rights issues) will start selling. Of course they will not sell all in one day, they will spread out so that the price decline will not be too big in a single day.

With the rights issue ex-date coming very fast now, some investors may sell tomorrow so that they do not need to increase their investment and exposure in UMWOG?

However, post the RI, the earnings dilution will be extremely HUGE?

It really depends on your views naimfm. Think about it this way, if you think the charter rates gonna improve for whatever reason (perhaps gotta take a contrarian view here), then it may be worth it as the warrants may be able to be exercised in the money in the future?

Just my personal view that even Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering which has a 66.5% controlling stake by MISC that's owned by PETRONAS also just recorded bigger losses, its 7th consecutive quarter of continued losses. If PETRONAS wanna save a company, it might wanna do with Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering first, not UMWOG

If the price stays at this level, the rights issue will not be attractive enough for many investors. Ya they'll offer sweeteners like free attached warrants, but normally investors subscribe rights issue at a discounted market price

For now, I think we're waiting for the quartely result to see to what extend losses can be minimised and the latest plan for RI

I think most analysts are expecting UMWOG to be recording losses until next year. So can safely say this year will not be recording profits yet. Any significant profits may only emerge post 2018

If according to my understanding, the RI will go through by end of this year, perhaps in October 2017. Even if other shareholders do not want it, PNB alone can still inject RM 1.8b into UMWOG. I may be wrong, but this is what I understand from public sources.

Thank you offshore for your comment. To me, never take the buying or selling of the management at face value. Cos some time it's just personal issues like the management wanna fund a new house or send kids to overseas for education, that they had to liquidate their position. This is just an example only

To be honest with you it really depends on the charter rates which depends on the cyclicality of the O&G. Cos most of the facilities are currently being employed, so the big question now will charter rates increase or not? If yes, then it should be brighter for the company
