# 1n1702 - being conservative is better than being aggressive. It will not make you rich but more importantly you will not get burnt. Ultimately it pays in the long run and helps you survive in the stock market.

# connie - if you were to look at the recent market movements, I reckon that charts are not doing that well. An example is Hibiscus, when it was about 2.60 the charts are saying that it will break 3.00 etc (this is what I gathered from other threads) but look at it the last two or three days. At the end of the day there are so many factors in determining the direction of the market and it seems that using your own judgement may be the right option - like what rchi is doing. Target prices are just merely guidance from the chart readings (I am not saying it is no good as those who use TA definitely have an advantage over those who don't under normal trading conditions). As I say earlier how many people actually will wait for the TP to sell. I would reckon probably less than 5%. Take baby sonic for example, when it was about RM9 everyone is saying that the TP is RM11. Yes, I agree that it can reach there one day but how long will it take. rchi is taking advantage of the volatility of the stock to go in and out and by that time it reaches RM11, he would have made more than the person who has been holding it till the TP. More importantly rchi does not have his capital tied down. And there is no guarantee that it will eventually reach RM11 as along the way external factors may creep in. - Just my opinion with no offence meant to anyone.

# Sky / ooi1955 - Daya is gone, move on. There are plenty of counters to play. You lose out 2 sen on daya but made more on bambi and wog - so no regrets right ! Anyway as I say, sometimes our decisions may not be 100% right - so we have to learn and live with how the market performs.

# ooi1955 - now you understand and appreciate what is meant by opportunity cost. Utilizing funds from cutting loss or switching counters to make money to cover (if not not more) from other counters. Of course not every time works as you need to assess the overall situation. Like this case we can trust rchi and thus it pays off. Of course we cannot discount the fact that Poh Kong will move day day but that is a different story altogether unless one has unlimited funds and keeps on buying without selling. Am I right, my e-kawan scjm3 ?

# sankai - PN stands for Practice Note. Generally PN17 companies normally have some financial issues - like defaulting in loan interest and principal repayments, not having significant business, receiving adverse opinions from auditors etc. Normally they will be given a time frame to rectify the problems.

# Sky - very obedient :) Like I always say, make less is better than losing. Why join the herd mentality to speculate on those stocks which you know the fundamentals are not there.

# moon - wog is taking a breather. Like rchi says, more action will come later.

# Pity those who chased BGYear from 20 sen onwards to 31 sen. But that's the risk playing PN17 stocks. Best to avoid, there are so many cases of highly speculative penny stocks already - AT, Cybert, DSC, Winsun .......
