I won't be concern if prices already run 100% or more. The low of 60cts is simply unreal in the first place. When it was 60cts the company net asset backing was $2. Now it is $2.78 NAB and price is $2.52.
With such earnings, the fundamental shld exert itself and translate to higher price. If it doesn't, then it's opportunity to add to yr holdings.
Under cash flow, "net cash generated under normal operating activities" was $42.2mio. Lat3 is generating cash faster than printing machine. This shld translate to very, very good credit ratings. Banks will line up to lend at lower rate shld company need fundings to expand with merger or acquisition.

In the last 4 years, the 2nd qtr results were announced btw 23 to 28 Feb. So it is likely that the company will make announcement after market close today so that investors and shareholders have time to study it and make their conclusion over the weekend. I hope to see some good surprises.

it's quite incredible the company has been consistently loosing money since 2007. By any standard, the whole management should be sacked and replaced by a new team. If the asset backing is $1.27, then it's better the company find a buyer and liquidate this company. There is simply no hope or investor confidence in company who is bleeding every year.

It's such a nice feeling I am spot on. Now we are all waiting anxiously for the 2nd qtr results. Get ready to button yr seat belt. U be deliciously shocked. Or it could be an anti-climax as speculators and punters - pump and dumb, or buy on rumours and sell on facts. Let's see. It getting excited.

I think you are better off buying Lat3 Msia. The information is crystal clear for all to see. Even tho its latest result are not out, some info can be deduced with great certainty when Brooke Asia makes its latest result known. It keeps using the phrase "discontinued operation". The discontinued operation in Brooke Asia is the "continued operation" of Lat3 Msia. This continued operation shows M$308mio turnover and M$46mio net profit. Calculate yrself the EPS contribution from this continued operation.
When Lat3 Msia finally releases its 1st half result, you will not even get at $3. I think.

Brooke Asia won't go broke. Infact many unlisted companies in South East Asia can make a quick public listing by just paying the current price of $0.28 per share which has a cash value of $0.20. 40% above cash value seems exorbitant. But the no. of shares is only 53.6mio which translate to about $5mio. To list a company, include underwriters fees, lawyers to draft the prospectus and many others private disclosures. All these cost money. A reverse takeover or back door listing is more simplify and avoid "tell all". So what you are seeing is the goodwill money for Brooke Asia shares. Hope others can dispute my findings for a healthy discussions.

Wilkinsonyeo, Lat3 Msia uses this SCR scheme to purchase all the factories of Lat3 Singapore. Did u attend the EGM and vote against it?

From the technical point of view, the share has broken the 1st resistance of 2.25/26 convincingly. With the fundamentals exerting so strongly on the share price, it is very likely to exceed 2.50 either today or the next few days. The day volume will probably >2.5mio which is all time high.

Trying to make sense of Brooke Asia (fka Lat Singapore). They reported S$118m (M$303mio) and profit after tax S$18m (M$46m) for their discontinued operation - meaning operation in Vietnam/Thailand - which are now 100% own by Latitude Malaysia. That means Lat3 M'sia international operation will contribute about 46mio/97.2mio or 47cts earning per share. Including their domestic operation, their eps for 6 months will be in excess of 47cts. Annualize it the company can make 70cts per share if the 2nd half (Jan - Jun 2014) are conservatively 23cts.
This earning is just ridiculous. The company should make an immediate dividend declaration of at least 10cts and a stock split or bonus issue to make the share more liquids when they announced the 1st half results.

Plse take note that I don't vouch for the accuracy of my estimation. You need to do yr homework to corroborate if my info is accurate.

1st half hour of 2014 trading, the volume is good and not sure if all the bears are out or not. However, the last day volume was pretty high. So those who want 'out' shld have done so the last several days. Is it safe to enter? Yes, it is. I did so on the last day of 2013.

$5 is possible, in similar fashion as Dsonic. First - Latitudes payout $0.10 interim div in Feb 2014 if it makes $0.15 per share in this quarter . Second - big punters quietly arranged with major shareholders not to sell and whack the price to $6/- Third: announce stock split 2 to 1 or even higher split ratio citing improvement of liquidity. Then we in this forum unload at $6 or above.
Nice thoughts and Merry Xmas to all - I am sure this is probably the best christmas u can remember - at least for me, it is.

I saw from the Bursa Malaysia that Kanger is China Stocks. China Stocks are commonly known as S-chips in SGX. They are 50 to 100 of these stocks traded on SGX and most of them have fallen to below 5cts. I won't touch them. I have been badly hurt before. Their accounts are doubtful. Even their cash position are a suspect. When external auditors sought more information from company management, even company computers are stolen, or there is black out in the factories. You can read all these scandals on google. If you like China Stocks, buy from HKSE where the regulation is strong and enforcement of wrongdoings are effective. China companies which cannot get listed on HKEX because of tough compliances, found their first in Singapore and now in Malaysia.

Still holding out for more. No good reason to sell as average KLSE shares are doing close to 15pe going forward. At projected eps of 40cts (more likely to exceed 50cts), pe is not demanding. Also NAB is 2,57.

Short-term, Latitude is very bullish. All sell downs are overhelmed by buyers. Now making an attempt to exceed the day high of 2.19. Infact while I am typing, it is 2.20

Not good at charting. But the NAV is already $2.57 and with earnings expected to be in excess of $0.40, I think $3.00 in medium term is not excessive. Also the volume must exceed 2mio in order to see a strong momentum. This also depends if management moves it dividend in excess of $0.10. Suggest all shareholders attend coming AGM on Dec 23. Maybe management can drop some hints going forward for the current qtr ending Dec 2013.

Piece of cake. Now just waiting on sideline to see what to do next. Target price on this website says it all - $3.85. So still some speed bump and maybe now major road blocks to clear.

US growth 3.6%, jobless claim down, fast-food workers and service industry are asking for higher salary. All these are pointing to higher demand for furniture replacement and now home sales. Also Latitude is operating in Vietnam - a really low cost labour market with salary in Dong. So with rising consumers salary and demand, going forward - Latitude can only make more money.

1.83 is not road block, just a small speed bump. No issue. A slight pedal dip can take care. I will do it.

I have read thru all the noise and it's really confusing. It's 60mio shares and at 1.60 per share, the market cap is pittance. Why so many pple are interested in it when there is a competitor Latitude Tree are flying high. Plse spend some time on reading Latitude Tree balance sheets; and sell all your LiiHen if you find the paper trail leading back to 2004 too complex. You need to be a financial forensic to sieve thru all the noise and even then you will be confused.

Even at this level, it is still undervalued. At projected earnings of $0.50 per share and NAV $2.55, investors are beginning to realise they have missed out on this gem. Waiting for pullback to increase holdings.
