Hi guys, I would like to give my 2 cents worth on this stock. Firstly the fundamentals are reasonably good. TY. Repeatedly stated MAA does not have enough funds to buy any finance assets hence the only option left is self regularization or worst case scenario being delisted. The threat of being delisted is of a major concern to investors, fund managers etc hence I think it's a major reason for the share's under-performance.

So I think virgogo might be correct in his view of a self-regularization option and since the Zurich matter is fully settled, bursa might just grant it. Now the million dollar question is "when?" Just wait for the next qtr results which I think will be good, MAA might apply for it. Give Bursa 1 month to consider so the could be in October 2014.

So since the fundamentals are good, the next option to look at would be the charts. Most of the indicators are bullish, watch out for a vol/price spike which may be fairly soon. First it needs to break the 0.705 then the 0.75 followed by some mkt rumour then likely 1.20 to 1.50 for the upliftment .

This will surely happen if the events unfold as I anticipate it would in the near future

with this news ....itdropped from 15 sen to 7 sen. Just go with the flow of the EGM first

Yes Ben I have read all the announcements. This is a long term stock but mkts are very volatile. Perhaps the company needs to do more PR work for fund managers to invest in this stock. 4 sen dividend is a good start. This stock needs a good write up, perhaps from RHB research are the movers and shakers of undervalued stocks like GOB.

Symlife has not made any major moves as yet and there is major potential upside. So hang in there for a while. Load up only when there is major mkt weakness or when it there is a breakout

For wb holders don't worry. If mother up wb will be up too. Will only drop near the dividend ex date. So got chance to exit n re-enter later

Just wait for the results then see whether is this company still a good bet.

This is a fundamental good stock unnoticed by the investing public. Grossly undervalued,. Nta should be much higher if the assets are revalued. Very low PE ratio, good earnings.

Cool water.......amt already shown. Look at the notes to the acc. Maa provided RM 45m for Zurich's further claims that's why the two cancelled out. Otherwise profit b4 tax would be RM 55m . What's more impt is the cash in bank came down from 293m to 184m which should be more instead of less cos the sale of the mutual fund generated 56m. Wonder why cash came down

Virgo.... I totally agree with yr view. One main diff between Adventa, ECM and Maa is the revenue or turnover. The first 2 are very small in relation to Maa. The takaful business is > 4 yrs already n they are in the same business segment\industry. If bursa is playing a waiting game , it's a pure waste of time. TY has already publically stated that Maa is not going to reorganize. ECM has stated if no waiver is coming, they will delist n break up ie liquidate n return to shh. Maa has been silent on this issue. Maa's takaful business is big.....no guarantee that they can make consistent profits every qtr. it's now or never I think
