Ignore those fear mongering clowns who are trying to scare investors into selling their stock at a loss just so they can collect cheap. The fact is Karim himself bought over 1.8 million at RM1.3570 just 2 days ago which shows that SCIB is undervalued and there is nothing amiss with SCIB.
SCIB's next qty report will be another blowout one!
2021-05-26 14:01 | Report Abuse
Karim just bought over 1.8 million shares at RM1.3+ a few days ago as a sign of support that SCIB shares are greatly undervalued. He wouldn't buy shares if he knew something was amiss with SCIB.
2021-05-26 13:55 | Report Abuse
OK then, I believe Karim will turn SCIB into a 6 billion company like Gamuda in a few years..
2021-05-26 01:37 | Report Abuse
In any event, Im confident that Karim will turn SCIB into another SERBADK in a few short years. SERBADK quarterly profit skyrocketted from just RM44 million to over RM200 million is less than 5 years..using this as a guideline, it is very achievable for SCIB to hit more than 60 million profit per quarter
2021-05-26 01:31 | Report Abuse
Where in the report does it say that the other 18 million was from a lawsuit? Can anyone confirm?
2021-05-26 01:31 | Report Abuse
OldWiseMan100:- Ur wrong! Looking at the last quarterly report, it says that the gross profit was RM22,197,000 and Other income was RM18,181,000. The gross profit was derived from contracts.
2021-05-25 22:28 | Report Abuse
if SCIB's next quarterly earning can hit RM50 million, EPS after share dilution of private placement assuming 637,700,000 shares should be at least (RM200 million /637700000) = RM0.3136/share
If given 15 X PER, intrinsic value of SCIB is RM4.70!!
Huge upside..
But I believe SCIB can be the next SERBADK whose potential earnings could hit RM100 million per quarter
Solid company with superb fundamentals!

The rights issue exercise is actually good for JAKS shareholders. The rights issue comes with free warrants. FREE WARRANTS!!
FREE WARRANTS = FREE MONEY!!!
For illustrative purposes only, the entitlement basis for the Proposed Rights
Issue with Warrants is assumed at 2 Rights Shares together with 1 Warrant for
every 4 existing JRB Shares held throughout this announcement.
That means if I own 60000 JAKS shares and subscribe to the rights issue, I get 15000 FREE WARRANTS.
If the new warrant listing price is RM0.15, then I get RM2250 free once the warrants are listed. You can sell the warrants like you would shares.
If the new warrant price surges from 15 cents to RM2.00 cents, new free warrants will be valued at RM27750.
Look at MFCB-WA warrants, it went from RM0.3225 to RM3.33, 1000% increase..
So don't let idiots scare you to sell down the stock. Think carefully and use your judgement.

EngineeringProfit:- TP will be more than RM1.70 when JAKS subscribes to the extra 10% stake in JDHP. Thats why we are baving this rights issue..it is to pay for the 10% stake in JDHP which will increase profits!!
TP:- At least RM4..

Don't make silly general, sweeping statements saying that buying warrants are bad because I just called you out on this fallacy.
SERBADK-WA is now trading out-of-the-money at a huge premium of 62% with a measly gearing ration of 6:1 but the expiry date is long.
I might buy back SERBADK-WA if it drops back to RM0.15 and below..LOL

Philip:-
You're attacking strawman and not answering my question. You said that bonus issue/share splits are not dilutive when I've already pointed out that the increase number of shares will indeed dilute share price, EPS.
What you're saying about rights issue is only correct if you do not subscribe to the rights issue. If you DO subscribe to it which all shareholders should, then the new rights issues shares will not have any impact on your shares.
(Effect of corporate exercises to shareholders)
Bonus, and share split, Rights issues and warrants (when converted) will cause a company’s net profit TO SPREAD over a larger number of shares. In other words, a company’s earnings per share will DECREASE as earnings allocated to each ordinary share an investor has invested in will be DILUTED. In general, existing investors given the bonus shares, subscribing for the rights will get their same share of the profit of the company just like before the exercises. No value is created, except, the company has to pay fee to investment bankers.

"Bonus issue has no dilution involved. You can do the basic maths. If you have 60,000 RM 1 shares is the same as 120,000 rm0.5 shares. Zero dilution involved."
LOL..AHAHAHAHAHAHA....YOU'RE A BLOODY GENIUS WHO THINKS THAT BONUS ISSUE DOESN'T DILUTE EARNINGS..LOL..AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA..
Not only are you a diluded, deceptive liar who constantly accuses me of misleading investors, you are either completely ignorant of what bonus issue/share split means or you're just deceiving investors..
Here, let me direct you to an article:-
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/b/bonusissue.asp
Advantages and Disadvantages of Issuing Bonus Shares
Companies low on cash may issue bonus shares rather than cash dividends as a method of providing income to shareholders. Because issuing bonus shares increases the issued share capital of the company, the company is perceived as being bigger than it really is, making it more attractive to investors. In addition, increasing the number of outstanding shares decreases the stock price, making the stock more affordable for retail investors.
However, issuing bonus shares takes more money from the cash reserve than issuing dividends does. Also, because issuing bonus shares DOES NOT generate cash for the company, it could result in a DECLINE in the dividends per share in the future, which shareholders may not view favorably. In addition, shareholders selling bonus shares to meet liquidity needs lowers shareholders' percentage stake in the company, giving them less control over how the company is managed.
Before you jump in buying the shares when company announces the corporate exercises, let us look at a couple of serial givers of freebies and other corporate exercises and their subsequent long-term share price performance after the announcement of corporate exercises.

Philip:-
"Obviously for new shareholders I am not complaining as I get to buy cheap shares." - To be eligible to buy the rights issue, you HAVE to hold some JAKS share first! You can't subscribe to the rights issue if you don't currently hold JAKS shares or you hold an insufficient amount.
2020-05-23 15:19 | Report Abuse
Philip:-
So now you're backing down a bit after I called you out on your misleading information. Let me reply you:-
"That warrant of 15 cents? It comes from somewhere you know, it's not free." - The FACT and BOTTOM line is it is FREE to shareholders of JAKS who subscribed to the rights issue as detailed in their proposal. As long as I'm not paying for them, I don't care. If people give you freebies, why shouldn't you take them? Is taking freebies wrong? Is it loss-making?
Let me put this rights issue exercise in another way. If someone needs money to fund a venture that he knows is hugely profitable but needs more capital to do so, he will turn to his friends for help. If he gave you RM1000 free as an up-front/sweetener in return for lending him money (say RM30000) to fund his business that you also see as hugely profitable, why shouldn't you? He gives your RM1000 as an incentive to lend him RM30000 to fund a business that will return profits on your RM30000 in the future.
As long as you subscribe to the rights issue, the dilutive nature of the rights shares will have no impact on your current shareholding.
Let me ask you another question Philip. Bonus issues are dilutive in nature especially if it's 1-for-1 basis. But are bonus issues bad for investors?? If you say no, you have refuted your own claims already because warrants are also dilutive in nature. So why are warrants bad and bonus issues good when both are dilutive? When bonus issues are announced, company stocks usually soar.
When a company gives free warrants where warrants have a value and can be bought and sold like shares in the open market, it is bad???? LOL..
Free warrants are BAD???? LOL

Icon offshore's rights issue exercise was VERY DILUTIVE, 100-for-1. it was for every 1 Icon share you own, you have to subscribe to 100 rights share to get a 1 measly warrant free. Yet it's stock price soared after the announcement..LOL

Philip:-
MFCB undertook a rights issue exercise back in 2016 on a 7-for-10 basis with 3 free warrants for every 7 rights issue subscribed. The rights issue price was RM1.59, today MFCB is trading atRM5.89. Were the directors stupid to sell MFCB shares at RM1.59 when they knew their shares would be worth much more than RM1.59?
JAKS 2-for-4-get-1 free warrant for is actually more appealing to MFCB's rights issue exercise price of 7-for-10-get-3 because it is less dilutive and you get more free warrants.
"HOW ARE YOU THINKING WARRANTS ARE FREE? ONCE IT IS CONVERTED YOU ARE DILUTED YET AGAIN. " - You can't trade warrants like you would shares in the stock market?? Company warrants cannot be sold?????? LOL...do you even know that warrants can be traded like you would shares???? If the warrant listing price is say RM0.25 and you sell all you FREE warrants (say 15000 free warrants if you have 60000 shares), wouldn't that translate to RM3750 FREE money already?? LOL...grow up and stop misleading investors into thinking warrants are a bad thing!
You say that warrants are never a good thing but you are a hyprocite! Why do I say that? You own and have bought SERBA-DK shares and warrants. Does that mean that just because SERBA-DK has warrants means that SERBA-DK is a bad invesment due to the dilutive nature of the warrants?? If you bought SERBA-DK warrants, you can't sell the warrant back in the open market???? LOL...
People buy into a company because they see huge profit potential from their investmet.
Stop being a hypocrite and accuse me of misleading investors when you are the one who is trying to mislead investors by providing one-sided information and not disclosing another for the benefit of all.
As for Icon, I merely pointed out FACTS that Icon's share soared right after the right issue exercise was announced. That is a fact!
2020-05-23 01:53 | Report Abuse
Also, note the exercise price of RM0.85 the new warrants! That means the management expects the mother shares to go beyond RM0.85!!..

The Warrants attached to the Rights Shares will be issued at NO COST (FREE!!!) to the
Entitled Shareholders who successfully subscribed for the Rights Shares.
The exercise price of the Warrants shall be determined and fixed by the Board
at a later date after receipt of all relevant approvals but before the
announcement of the Entitlement Date, after taking into consideration the
TERP of JRB Shares based on the 5-day VWAMP of JRB Shares immediately
preceding the price-fixing date.
For illustrative purposes only, the exercise price of the Warrants is assumed at
RM0.85 per JRB Share throughout this announcement, which represents the
TERP of JRB Shares of RM0.85, calculated based on the 5-day VWAMP of
JRB Shares up to and including the LPD of RM1.0706.
The illustrative entitlement basis for the Proposed Rights Issue
Last time JAKS-WB listing price was RM0.25..thats means if the new WARRANT LISTING PRICE IS SAY RM0.25 and I own 60000 JAKS shares and subscribe to the rights issue, I get 15000 warrants FREE OF CHARGE which translates to RM3750 FREE when the new warrant is listed!!
WOOOHOOOO..
GOOD NEWSLARR!!!!

meiling0809:- that is irrelevant. The fact that he bought a lot of shares just 2 days ago shows that he is confident in SCIB, even if he bought those shares with free money. Let me ask you, if someone gave you RM2.5 million, would you buy something that you know is loss making? Of course no even if you got the money for free. But that's what Karim did. By buying at RM1.355 he is telling us that the stock is grossly undervalued relative to it's potential earnings upside..
