VT no longer majority shareholder of BJCorp, but it's him in the picture when buying planes for BJLand, what's this telling you???
2023-06-23 20:48 | Report Abuse
Err.... Actually, VT no longer the majority shareholder of bjcorp while a higher offer to privatise bjland will benefit him the most, he's the second largest shareholder of bjland after bjcorp

if can really make >30% gain in 3 months, the price would have already shot up...
2023-06-22 09:51 | Report Abuse
I think the above number is incorrect, BJCorp already owns 3,984,338,496 shares of BJLand. Meanwhile, VT is owning 308,449,276 personally. The total of shares owned by BJCorp and VT already exceeds 4.29 billion shares, leaving around 700 million of shares floating around.

0.05 dividend per year is more reasonable... current level is way too absurd
2023-05-10 20:55 | Report Abuse
Miserable dividend, probably the reason why
2023-05-01 13:36 | Report Abuse
if i were not wrong, a dividend has been mentioned during last AGM for this year. Sure would appreciate dividend after so many years.
2023-04-14 19:43 | Report Abuse
glad to know Oriental is proposing 0.20 dividend. I initial thought there won't be any dividend for final when Q4 report is out and extremely disappointed.
2023-04-07 16:28 | Report Abuse
and if BCorp is genuine, it should have outlined what it had in mind over BLand's status to ease minority shareholders' mind.
2023-04-07 16:19 | Report Abuse
ocbc, BCorp can sell shares in the market, at least this is what VT is telling the market, by selling his personal holdings.

You guys must be crazy to bet on bland privatisation... Unless you're VT close buddies or family members
2023-03-21 20:49 | Report Abuse
I'm hoping for a 0.38/0.30 exchange into bcorp shares plus 0.01-0.10 special dividend for the delay, and that's a don't know how many years dream already. Lost hope for a deal coming soon, could be years into future. Best don't touch if that's the reason buying into bland
2023-02-24 19:21 | Report Abuse
haha...quite frankly, I also believe BCorp and BLand are worth between 0.60 and 1.00 per share.

To me, for oil price to collapse, there must be sudden drop in demand or a surprise in supply. It's difficult to expect a suddent drop in demand with China opening up or a surprise in supply when US is not expanding shale oil and gas crazily like in the past.

and I'm dreaming for 1.60...

What joke is this, with brent over 85 and hibiscus still not able to respond?
2023-01-14 11:36 | Report Abuse
yes, indeed. Think Oriental can easily afford to pay 0.60 - 0.80 dividend per year without much effort. Question is if the board is willing. The first Covid year saw a dividend cut that doesn't make sense given its cash in hand, but what can we as small shareholders do?
2023-01-13 18:16 | Report Abuse
Oriental's dividend has never exceeded its operating cash flow if I were not wrong. So, if there's a lower dividend, that must mean only one thing, Oriental is not generating as much operating cash flow...

if BCorp is trading at above 1.50, I can see why MCIS acquisition requiring VT paring down stakes in BCorp makes sense to VT. With BCorp way below 0.50 and VT selling BCorp to buy MCIS, don't you guys ever wonder what went wrong???
2023-01-11 13:42 | Report Abuse
If you have faith in VT, then just wait for 0.50, that's the price he's telling his shareholders during the AGM. For those with average cost higher than 0.50, wait for the next AGM to ask VT for guidance???

if the MCIS deal involved new BCOrp share issuance, just make sure to vote NO!

I'm more interested with Bland beginning to pay dividend consistently every year, starts from 0.01-0.02 per share

with brent rose above 86 and Hibiscus is not even capable of crossing 1.20? Sigh!
2023-01-03 12:58 | Report Abuse
genuine doubt it's a cash out, unless those buying are paying a premium. BCorp has an NA of more than 1.00, why would VT sell them at 0.30 and below??? Those buying through direct transactions, if at less than 0.30, can easily buy from open market. My guess, just have some friendly parties to hold for him, showing to BN that he has met the requirement to acquire financial co???

close to 7 cents per share of quarterly earning is not impressive for a less than RM 1 share company, what is then???
2022-10-17 16:49 | Report Abuse
seems part of the reason for lower share price is the low dividend declared, a mere 0.02 for FY 2022.

I am actually not happy with the QR. The admin expenses is too high without further discussion and the Repsol's gas selling price is very low relative to Anasuria without discussion also. In addition, the low up time for Anasuria is also driving down the earning.

bjland is already tightly held by VT and BCorp. It's share price is no longer determined by the market, only VT knows what Bjland should be traded at anytime...

Sabah imposing tax is actually a matter of tax collection tussle between Sabah and federal. Oil producers including Hibiscus are merely caught in between the two.
2022-08-05 12:20 | Report Abuse
there are two unknown to most interested in Hibiscus.
One is how earning accretive Repsol acquisition is. The management and analysts may have better idea than most others. Coming quarterly report will provide a better picture, and share price could see a upward correction due to this.
The second is the trend of oil price. Currently, the world economy is expected to go into recession and oil price/demand is expected to fall accordingly. Truth, though, the demand for oil is OK right now, why else Biden has to beg Saudi to produce more, a country he described as pariah? Also, fortunately, thanks to Ukraine crisis, oil price has been staying quite strong lately and refuse to drop much and this is not limited to oil price, but gas and coal as well, further showing demand for energy is still strong.
