I think it's not that bad if you exclude the forex impact. The new facilities are on course to be operational by end of this year. 2025 will be a very good year barring unforeseen circumstances.

Thanks goody99 for the explanation.
The presentation is really "misleading", Q1 FS shows weighted average no. of shares of 699m, then in Q2 FS it become 419m.

AmInvest forecasted FY2024 net profit at RM63mil & EPS of 7.5sen. But the latest QR shows YTD June 24 net profit @ RM33mil & 6 months EPS is already at 7.97sen. The full year EPS should be around 15sen?
Did I read it correctly?

"It is worth noting that the recent appreciation of the Malaysian Ringgit (5-6% increase since the end of June 2024), if maintained for the remainder of the year, may result in lower reported earnings in Ringgit terms (on same USD term) for the second half of 2024.
Despite the stronger Ringgit, and considering the increase in effective ownership of Don Sahong Power Company (DSPC) from 80% to 95%, we expect that the PATNCI for Don Sahong will demonstrate robust double-digit year-on-year growth of more than 20% in the second half of 2024."
@Pinky, forex is inconsequential, MFCB is anticipating more than 20% y-o-y growth in 2H2024 due to higher effective interest and 5th turbine. Not to forget the rest of the divisions are growing steadily as well. MFCB never disappoints the long term shareholders :)

Be patience guys, another one or two quarters with double digits growth will definitely attract more interest. The price is well supported actually despite PNB trimming its stake for a month already.

“We have nurtured the food security division over the last 10 years and we think it has turned a corner. We are likely to see a bigger contribution from the division, so we are going to carve it out and show it as one of our core businesses,” MFCB non-independent, non-executive director Yeow See Yuen tells The Edge in a recent interview.

One more pillar to propel them forward.

Yes, it’s very likely that it’s 1 cent or more per quarter this year. This is slightly more than a 6% dividend yield at the current price. Coupled with the growing total addressable market, it’s definitely worth holding for the long term.

"In addition to establishing production facilities in Bangladesh and Nepal, we are expanding into the promising Brazilian market. With a population of 215 million and a gross domestic product (“GDP”) of US$1.9 trillion, Brazil's market size exceeds that of Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico combined, the top three (3) markets in our existing Latin American region. Given the proximity to our existing market and cultural similarities, we are confident in our ability to grow in Brazil."
I think they will achieve much more than RM80m per quarter soon.

@Pinky,
The poor financial position of the Laos government is not something new. The management has explained this many times. Actually, the off-taker for the power generated is Cambodia. As long as Cambodia is paying, MFCB will also get paid. Moreover, the payment is in USD.”

"Yinson Production achieved some significant milestones. FPSO Atlanta arrived safely at the Atlanta Field
on 11 May and mooring campaign is well underway. FPSO Maria Quitéria completed its project
construction phase, marked by its sail away to Brazil on 7 May and is now on the way to the Jubarte Field
in Brazil after a short stopover in Singapore earlier this month. Both projects are on track to achieve first
oil by the end of the year. First oil will also mark the commencement of both projects’ firm charter period,
which will significantly boost profits and cash, enabling us to reward our shareholders and continue
growing our FPSO business in line with the strong market opportunities available."
Yinson has confirmed the other two FPSOs are on its way to achieve first oil by end of the year. With them setting the floor price at RM2.33 with massive SBB, could be a good opportunity to invest now.

@hopetobecorrect, yes you right, in fact there is another clause which says the tariff will be adjusted downward at 10th year if I not mistake. The management did highlight the new CA is more favourable to the Company, lets see how it goes.
Anyway, irregardless of the terms of the CA, to me the value proposition of MFCB is about the capable management team who know how to reinvest the strong cashflow and enhance the shareholder value. Bet the jockey :)

Y-o-Y
Group’s profit after tax and non-controlling interest (“PATNCI”) rose 35.3% from
RM70.5 million to RM95.5 million. “Normalised” Group PATNCI (by excluding share of
joint ventures and associates’ results, and non-operational one-off items) grew 22.4%
from RM79.5 million to RM97.4 million.
Q-o-Q
Excluding joint ventures and associates, and one-off items
in both periods, the Group's normalised PATNCI remained flat quarter-on-quarter at
RM98.2 million (compared to RM98.7 million in 4Q2023). This was achieved despite
seasonally lower hydro energy sales, underscoring the earnings strength of the
Group's core operations and the positive impact of increased effective equity interest
in DSPC.
How was it a bad quarter? In fact if you follow the Company closely you will know that they will do well this year with the increased effective stake in DSPC and the upcoming 5th turbine running in second half. And next year it will be even more exciting with the Food Security Division plus additional capacity coming from packaging division.

MLM does not appeal to many generally. However so long the company can grow consistently and report higher profit, the share price will catch up eventually. Meanwhile just sit down and enjoy the good dividend..

"We are confident that leveraging the capacity of our plantation presents a significant opportunity to meet the burgeoning global demand for coconut sugar products. Upon reaching maximum harvest capacity, we anticipate establishing ourselves as the largest and foremost fully integrated company dedicated to coconut sugar products worldwide."
Good highlight, Nepo. Can't wait to ask them more about the venture into coconut sugar biz in the coming AGM / quarterly briefing. Wondering how much revenue they are expecting from this venture. According to this report the top 3 players are having between USD169m - 260m revenue.

Bullish2021, to be fair it has increased the div payout by 100%, it paid a interim of 6c already. Full year dividend is 12.5c now compared to 6c last year.
The management has utilised bulk of the cash to settle the debt. I believe dividend could increase further once all the debts are settled this year.

Fidelity is about to finish dispose of all its stake, there will not be that much of supply again next year. Looking forward for record profit and perhaps divided in Q4 announcement :)

I think FMR will finish dispose of its stakes soon. attractive entry price now as the disposal are well absorbed at RM7 level.

Just like Serba DK, it's unfortunate that one of the substantial investors decided to pare down their stake. However this will not last forever.
In actual fact the share price hovers around RM7+ suggests that the selling is actually well absorbed by market / perhaps another large shareholder. The share price will start moving upward fast once the selling is done.
MFCB is a proven well run company. Just be patient and wait for the next catalysts (a) even better Q4 profit from Don Sahong, (b) higher dividend, (c) potential LSS project to materialise...

Looking at ASP alone would not tell a complete picture. One should focus on margin spread (ASP - Naphtha Cost) instead.
The Management expect to see continual increase of margin spread (higher than 2019 already) and volume (record volume achieved in May & June already) in second half. Please refer to slides below:-
