If you missed the RM1.93 range...don't worry...opportunity will come again. The private placement is done to institutional investors. They will definitely want a cheaper price per share and more of the shares to make up for the alloted dollar contribution. This way, they can stand to benefit from Capital related exercise such as better dividends, better participation in rights issue, etc.
Hence, this means that someone will press the share price down again when it cpmrs to the weighted average 5 days. Now the increase in share price maybe temporary due to the current euphoria in the construction sector following the awarding of MRT projects.
Let us wait until the price get depressed to RM1.9x range before we move in to buy more, shall we?

@ yeekarwai88, hahaha - that is what i wanna say too,,,,,AZRB winning the MRT2 viaduct package is expected. During the AGM, Tan Sri Kok Onn already state that one package is reserved for bumi. Hence, now we know that this is for AZRB.
It is highly likely that Gadang will win 1 package - if not , why susah susah go get private placement? Gadang is so bloody cash rich in the first place...~!!

current climate/ sentiment - maybe rights can risk being under subscribed...furthermore, rights issue is more time consuming than private placement..... anyway - KokOnn is an honest man - he will not short change the shareholders..

dui...Ms. Jolin Lai......last time, i made a mistake - bought this counter...from this counter - i learnt the bitter lesson of the importance of management integrity - selling Batu Kawan land at RM45 per square feet...and running a losing F&B business and promising to pay dividend but does not...- shows management does not have much integrity ...
i learnt from my mistake liaw...
anyway - what i have lost from this counter - i made it back from Gadang...

@ brother Superman 99, you read my mind...yes...that is what I am trying to say ...the price setting regime dictates 10% discount to the average last 5 days prior to the date of share placement. This will work in our favour .
Somebody is purposely presing down the price to achieve the lower 5 days average price. Hence, the institution doing the funding can get it cheaper ....and alloted more shares to achieve the predetermined funding amount. What this means to retailers is that we can catch low prices for these 5 days...maybe at RM1.70 to RM1.80. Hehehe...huat arrrr......

i think cheaper price is coming our way too...
The reasoning:
Think about it: if you are the person who is funding Gadang, do you want more shares or less shares?? personally, i want more shares - which translates to more dividends, better shareholder representation and ability to participate in future corporate exercises (especially bonus issue~!!!).
Hence, to make up for XYZ funding amount, i will want to have a lower share price and make it up in more shares taken up.
So, what this means for us "ikan bilis"? This means maybe, just maybe - tomorrow - the price will be pressed down even - maybe to RM1.70 to RM1.80, thus giving us a chance to buy more.
Hence, please don't cut my quee, i am queuing up to buy at RM1.80

i think someone is deliberately pressing down the price - if some stupid china company is asking for more money despite claiming to have hundreds of millions in their bank account, then, this can happen. But gadang is sooo bloody cash rich - then only two questions? the cash is fictitious or got more business opportunities coming? Kok Onn is an honest man - so, i don't think he will stoop so low to fraud - report fake cash. I think he wanna expand his empire...

Private placement maybe a good or bad thing. It is bad if management used the proceeds to fund projects whereby the returns are inferior. Hence, the marginal increase in EPS is insufficient to offset the earnings dilution per share due to the enlarged share base.
However, we know this is not the case with Gadang - as management has repeatedly demonstrated it is selective in choosing high margin projects. Actually, in this case, private placement is a good thing - because the business is expanding faster than its cash generation capability (positive free cash flows). Rather than just going to the bank or raising rights (a bad move in a weak market sentiment like right now), company choose for private placement instead.
It means that
- Gadang is highly likely to win the MRT2 project and a few more Petronas Rapid projects is coming its way. Hence, all of these construction contracts require cash - either as working capital or as a performance bond. This resulted in them having insufficient funds to fund for their property projects. I think something big is coming to Gadang, that is why they need more money. Be patient.
- this is better than share split - share split is just a book figure movement - whilst private placement resulted in them having "free cash". The 10% dilution to their EPS should be offset if their EPS rised by 10%. Something doable because FY16 and FY17 results are highly likely to be better than FY15 as promised by Kok Pei Ling during the 2015 AGM.
If you hold for 1 to 2 years time frame, no fear. NOw is a good time to buy more - unfortunately, i have run out of bullets...may consider liquidating other counters to buy Gadang if the price drops to RM1.80.
Even with the 10% expansion to their share cap, the share cap is still lower than 290M. What is there to be afraid?

The Star Residences Retail Tower 2 (RT2) is already 30% sold. Keep in mind that SymLife will break even after selling off RT2 and RT3 is completely their profit. In addition, the RM700M unbilled sales will kick in during FY17. Good days are ahead for Symlife.

GOB keep on accumulating good landbank...like the dunno where punya 100++ acres land near Lumut - i heard sorrounding land prices at Lumut - more than RM300 per square feet - so, GOB got a very good deal here..."tiu" of a lifetime.....coupled with the BK land...easily translate into high EPS - applying a PE of just 6, this stock should worth more than Rm 2 bucks...if TP cannot reach 2 bucks....can touch yourself in between your legs and scratch your two balls .....
Healthy net operating cash flows, lots of good landbank like Lumut Land, BK Land, Seri Kembangan Land, this land and that land , world class business leader, at RM0.45 - this is a steal of a lifetime...i don't understand why wanna rob the bank when you can easily get rich by buying GOB~!!!

Heard that Da'Mein is fully tenanted and fully jammed with shoppers during CNY - no empty parking lots and car park always full - full sampai double park, triple park or worst still - the cars parked on top of one another - like tortoise having sex - humping one another - cars jam sampai tengah tengah jalan - city council have to tow kereta. Sure no problem to get RM488M (see got "8" "8" at the back - feng shui mah - even selling price must reflect "8" "8" for good Feng Shui) and can easily meet the conditions imposed by Pavillion REIT.
GOB empire is growing from strength to strength from day to day. Down south at Penang, got Batu Kawan - 100% owned by GOB. I heard they started building lots of high end houses - each at RM500K at Batu Kawan - the next growth engine. Low land cost - high selling price = huge profit margin...

The highly profitable F&B Business - especially the GrandMama is close to selling Ham Ngap Tan (Salty Duck Egg) - reflects management's noble intention to build besar besar punya "LongKang" to enrich shareholder's wealth. - i mean - wealth transfer from shareholders to others.....
