there's a difference between bonus issue and stock split of the same ratio, and few reasons why bonus issue is more superior

company uses retained earnings to convert it to share capital and distribute it as bonus shares to shareholder, thus increasing shareholder's fund

where as in stock split the company's share capital remains the same

par value remains unchanged in bonus issue, while in stock split the par value drops by the ratio of the split

p.s. Though par value has no affect on the share price of a stock, but shareholders can be assured that the company would not issue further shares below the par value, so they can be confident that no one else will receive a more favorable issue price. Even so, company could have done a par value reduction to raise capital if current share price is below the par value

5) 18/4/14 IC project confirmed for 2 years

assuming 7.00 is the tp by ex-date of the bonus issue, (7-3.72)/6=0.54 is possible

not to forget maturity is in jan 2015, more room for the mother share to uptrend till then, assuming the fundamentals of the mother share didn't change and great growth prospect

after the dust settle and the euphoric feeling gone, ca should track the movement and future expectation of the mother share, as long as mother solid, son will be solid too
