I said before.... when a company give an unusual high special dividend... the investor have to be cautious, because the biggest beneficiary of this payout would be the directors... and they might suck the money out from the company. Ricky Keat I am a follower of cold eye, and i truly trust his teaching in his book. But i sold this stock at 2.48, cutting lost. Why? Because if you read the book thoroughly, there is one important chapter at the back.

Cold eye actually provides a priority list in choosing stock. The least prioritised item on the list is dividend (which is why most of the ppl holding this stock - dividend policy). And the highest priority is Growth. Meaning to say, putting all the good fundamental ratios aside, if the company does not achieve growth and remain stagnant, cold eye would not see it as a good stock.

The entire cold eye book also advocate one fundamental idea, and also an important one: to buy a stock is to be a shareholder in that company, so you need to make sure that the company management is good, because only good management can bring the company forward. So cold eye never said: a stock with good fundamental ratio is a good stock, and will bring u profit. He NEVER said that. He always emphasises on the company operation and management alongside with the ratios.

I sold this stock becoz i think its management is poor and is unable to bring growth to the company efficiently. Maybe there will still be growth, but a slow and minor one, which will cost u time capital.

Conclusion: pls get ur facts and teaching right before you cite cold eye. He is my sifu by book. Tq.

Hmm seems like a good stock... but might face fierce competition with cheaper perodua suv (80k) compared to its mazda suv 130k

Not to mention that Perodua (distributed by mbmr) has a bigger Malaysian market portion compared to Mazda (distributed by bauto)

RainT go for BAUTO if you are expecting a steady dividend gain. Go for mbmr if you are looking for growth, because:
1) mbmr is currently holding 20% shares in perodua, and mbmr subsidiary is holding another 5% in perodua
2) perodua performance will directly affect mbmr performance because mbmr holds distributorship of perodua in malaysia
3) Perodua upcoming new product would be SUV, releasing in second half of 2020
4) With the comparatively cheap pricing of SUV, together with the growing demand and favouritism on SUV, perodua is expecting a huge order and accordingly a high profit gain

Hi Philips, can you analyse and compare between Alliance bank and Ambank? In a layman term please, as i am not from financial background

@JK22 i agree with you on the point that its a bad counter. Nevertheless, once the management team is reformed and all the scandals are gone (which will take about 5-6 months), it is a stock that worth collecting. This js because AA is taking up a huge portion of the Malaysia domestic flight market, and with the rising demand on flights, its profit sustain its company growth and eventually brings profit to its shareholder.

However, it is not a good timing to enter the stock now. These scandals are too big to be cleared within few months. So for the mean time i will go for other profitable counter and come back after few months.
