The cup was won by Inderaputra stable's Chaya Timor. After that Jumbo Jet was deleted from racing. 1974 was dominated by Firbrand, Chaya Timor 2, Showgirl5 and Indian Rebel. Only Indian Rebel did not win any cup but in the top 4 placing. Firebrand was 1973 horse of the year.
