In Kelantan, PAS forms its base because they can fool the people of Kelantan who are quite poor. PAS' little group of people holding so many people to ransom with their little thoughts. When this little group comes to power they sit on high chairs. They look funny. I think prices will no longer move down and even if the qr were to be a little under expectations it might even continue to hold firm or move up. This is because of disappointment with the non release of the qr. All sorts of negative expectations set in consequently.The fact that pxs moved back up to test 28 was a good sign that the stock would at least hold despite the current circumstances.

if frontken has another great quarter then i think it is sizing itself for a run up

My thinking is that the buyer wants to buy as cheap as possible before the div, which is quite natural. Only after having taken the div will prices move, either up or down depending on the state of MBSB.

The GST coupled with the weaker ringgit will work more to the benefit of local industries even as it poses a strain on consumer pockets. Essentially a higher portion of a higher income group will be removed to seek more alternatives in the local market or alternatives with higher local content. I expect this 6% to help the Malaysian economy more. There will essentially be less exotic choices but no less choices. This will impact the local banking industry positively.

The weak ringgit will work to the benefit of local products. Expect local cars to do better. Air travel will be more expensive. Etc2.

I think it is completely not in the interest of the US to raise interest rates at this stage. Interest rates hiking should be further delayed or nominally raised to position the US economy vis-a-vis inflation. It would be exuberant to think that the US economy is steaming ahead though it is slowly getting better apparently.

I like this deal because it would not be as huge as the three party merger. When a Malaysian company gets too big, it gets stuffed all over the place. That's real pressure.

I offer an alternative perspective. The valuation of Mbsb of the aborted merger was based on different dynamics and parameters for different needs and under different conditions. The valuation could be different with BIMB. WIth this in mind, the impending merger could be more enterprising and interesting.
