Do remember also, Exim banks in US are also sponsoring/guaranteeing downpayments for other airlines. But looking at AA's balance sheet, the ultimate debtor is still with the buyer!

And AA is targeting to decimate Malindo in Malaysia. where will Kirana park the other planes, other than strong arm the Indonesian govt to upgrade or build more airports, else they will park their planes in Malaysia and Thailand according to him?! will that not remove the Indonesian govt as being a co-financier as they are the only one with the means? if 230+ planes will set Lion Air US$21b, how much will 1000 planes be? US$85b?

that's exactly my point. the downpayment is not an issue, but when you have to pay up to 55% for delivery, how will one do that with so many planes (last count 1000)? now that aviation boom is happening in this region, ordering so many planes looks like a simple calculation over a long period. but when you are already banned in Europe and only looking towards a crowded market in Asia (China, India and Thailand especially), i really wonder what Kirana is thinking. being late comer, he really has a lot in his hands!

I have this sneaky feeling the Gan family will allow the stock price to float according to value once short term investors finished their selldown. Looking at how they block the price from sliding down with their massive holding says a lot. Gan has proven to be a veteran in stock market and a decisive manipulator.
