In the star: Tropicana Corp Bhd or formerly known as Dijaya Corp, has set the share price of its private placement at RM1.78 per share.

Filing on Wednesday said the price represents a 9.88% discount to the five-day volume weighted average market price of Tropicana shares up to May 28, which stood at RM1.9752.

It said the placement was oversubscribed by 2.6 times during the book-building process.

It has entered into a placing agreement with with CIMB Investment Bank Berhad and Standard Chartered Securities (Singapore) Pte. Limited as the joint global coordinators for the corporate exercise.
