no I am not from Tgoff but I know the business of O and G, been following it for sometime. I just found out about your forum and so I just feel like contributing to the discussion. hope you guys don't mind.!

a rig company

we have been in the business for sometime though as an agent. The difficulty is the marketing of the rig. Most oil companies are looking at the expatriates to manage the rig and you need to have track records which I believe will come from the existing company that the rig was purchased. In rig business, you cannot rely on 1-2 rigs but you need to have more than that. Anyway you need to start from somewhere and this is one way to start. Based on the current utilization rate of the rigs , the business will be good for Tgoff. Let us wait and see how the acquisition goes.

hot.t your view on the tgoff regarding osv and Ekuinas noted. But I feel that tgoff is out of the way with acquisition of drilling rigs. firstly the rigs are 2nd generation rigs and it is almost 40 years old. it is neither here nor there.
On Ekuinas /Icon I think there is no soul in that company, you need someone with passion and drive to build it not paper shuffling guys who sits at the desk and looking at numbers.

I don't think Ekuinas is involved in the new Tgoff move. It is funny as Icon will pursue its intention to be the largest OSV company in Malaysia and is pursuing overseas merger and takeover.
