logical Well if it makes us feel better, it is a waiting game.

Strong belive that target price is RM2.5 to RM3.5
a. More valuable oilfields than SKPETRO & HIBISCUS
b. No of barrels X current market price (vol has gone up , whereas price slight drop)
c. Savings on operations and exploration has dropped tremendously
d. Very high reserves
e. Potential dividends (later)
f. High declared reserves
g. Cheapest WA to mother conversion for SPAC
h. Strong mgmt team (working and progressing well..... sometimes i do hope they come out and make some comments to push the price a bit)
i. Once convert from SPAC, it will be only two of it's kind (and SONA has good yield)
j. Global outlook and enery demands still there.
etc etc etc

Hence investor/fund managers/institutional buyers coming in upon approval definitely see this a value for money counter and YoY they also will make more than what i can speculate above. So once in awhile, we remind each other to be patient.... kalau ada duit lebih sikit, mungkin boleh goreng sikit without losing the bigger picture. Cheers

Approval of G4/50 Environmental Impact Assessment

Salamander announces that its Environmental Impact Assessment ("EIA") for exploration drilling in the G4/50 licence, Greater Bualuang area, Gulf of Thailand, has been granted conditional approval. Of the 20 drilling locations in the original EIA, 18 have been approved subject to: updating the oil spill response modelling to account for the removal of two potential drilling locations; and communicating the removal of the two locations to local stakeholders. In addition the Thai authorities have stipulated technical adjustments to the drafting.

The 18 locations include all of Salamander's top ranked prospects in the G4/50 licence and the company expects to commence exploration drilling before the end of 2014.

James Menzies, Chief Executive of Salamander, commented: "We have long been excited about the potential of the G4/50 licence. Now that we have the EIA's in hand we look forward to a low cost, but high impact, exploration drilling programme over the next twelve months."

However, normally MIDF invitees for luncheon talk are corporate figures and analyst from foreign & local investment bankers & brokerage houses. Personally, I smell some cooking. I was invited by one of the local top investment banker for this talk.

If MIDF organised luncheon, surely they are positive on sona
maybe the TP is not out yet

Sources says SONA passed stage two of SC Asset Valuation with good marks last week.
