KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 25): YTL Corp Bhd ( Financial Dashboard)'s 50%-owned associate Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) has inked an agreement with China-based Changchun Railway Vehicles Co Ltd (CRC) to purchase six additional trains.

The additional trains will cater for the ridership growth of both the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services in the Klang Valley.

Speaking to reporters after the signing agreement, ERL Executive Chairman Tan Sri Mohd Nadzmi Mohd Salleh said two trains would be allocated for KLIA Ekspres, and the remaining four will be for KLIA Transit.

Mohd Nadzmi however, declined to state the purchase price for the new trains.

"What I can say is that CRC was chosen, as they were the best candidates who could meet our specifications, and quality and commercial requirements," he said.

According to KLIA Expres' website, ERL holds a 30-year concession to finance, design, construct, operate and maintain the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit.

The concession agreement between ERL and Transport Ministry was signed on 25 August 1997. Besides YTL, Lembaga Tabung Haji Bhd owns 40% in ERL, while Trisilco Equity Sdn Bhd has the remaining 10%.

Mohd Nadzmi is the owner of Trisilco.

Meanwhile, Mohd Nadzmi said ERL intended to bid for Malaysia's high speed rail project, when the government calls for tenders.

The high speed rail, due for operations by 2020, is intended to be an alternative mode of public transport travel between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Someone last minute sell down the price..=.=" Tomorrow will be the ex-date for the 9.5 cent dividend.

The trading volume will getting higher when it getting nearer to its quarterly report release date. I'll just be patient and see how is the quarterly result.

RM0.095 dividend per share with a share price of only RM1.73 per share... Buying 1 lot get RM9.5... 100 lots get RM950... CIMB research claim that the dividend payout is sustainable in the coming financial years..I think it is a good buy...Maybe for long term investments? :)

My point of view, bjcorp businesses are over diversified, there is more investment businesses behind scene.. And we do not know how it perform? The price will sky rocket or not is all depend on the supply & demands,If investors see the better futher prospect in this company and willing to buy at higher price then for sure the price will go up... As for the current shareholders, pls don't sell at lower pricezzz.... No supply at lower price then it wont match at lower price.. Let's contribute our part to bring up the price.. Althrough we are just small kaki...but sikit-sikit,lama-lama jadi bukit... lol

I quit BJcorp and swim to YTLcorp...YTLcorp declared RM0.095 single tier dividend this quarter...What a great reward to its shareholders....

I believe before the dividend ex-date the price will go up... Coz most of the investors are attracted by its great dividend payout in this FY. So, Just be patient..
