haha, no sale means R&D cost are sunk...
With no stakeholders to answer to, it's literally own-time-own-target. Blessing..and envious too.
nomanland @ozzie75, tech counters, I won't touch. Even their margin is good, the overhead kills it. Too many ID ten T users in the market When sales down, you will be stuck with those overhead. Been there and have enough of those overhead. Now, maximize profit with less overhead, and no share holders to entertain. Now this is call life. ;)

“If I think solar is good, I go into solar; if I think palm oil is good, then palm oil. Share prices go up because the sector grows. So if I think this sector is going to be good in the next 10 years, then I’ll just invest in it. . . When you are holding stocks, if it goes up, don’t be too happy; when it goes down, don’t be too sad. Otherwise, how? Your life will also be fluctuating and you’ll die of a heart attack. If you really lose sleep over it, maybe the best way is to keep the money in the bank.’'

nomanland: Very good practice. I presume you are the bulk of the development cost (time cost) with low capital spending (I guess) so margin should be good (70-80%?). Tech counters would be your forte since you would better appreciate their operating and cost structures.

@6868: In fact that is what I am doing now. Sit back, observe the developments and macroeconomic factors at large and react appropriately. I remain open to the RI option alike that of nomanland. Not a buy call. All of us have varying risk appetites eventually.

Having said, it can be deduced that the interest level for Central Asia's O&G concessions is still there.
DreamConqueror And there is also Cliq, which is due to complete its proposed acquisition of a quite sizeable O&G asset in Kazakhstan ... by month end ...

Calvin,
The part on expansion across the Causeway...partnership with OneRepublic to become the 4th Telco in your country? :)
Again, my well wishes to your country's founding father, Mr Lee.

VT buying Redtone could be any of these reasons
1) Last time Vt sold away the golden goose called Digi. He really regretted it. Maybe he sees Value in Redtone like Digi.
2) Redtone is a defensive telco against recession.
3) VT got U Mobile. Maybe he wants a backdoor listing for U mobile.
In any case His Royal Highness The Sultan of Johor also interested in Redtone. And I heard from Redtone people they might expand to Spore

How are you, my friend? Busy with the ongoing contracts? Work is good. :) I agree with the below.
nomanland @YkJohn11, why worried about T4? Everyday is T4. For contra players, when share price drop, they will not wait for their T4, T0 buy and sell instead of waiting for the bloody T4. Example, if the contra players at Wintoni wait for the T4, man, they will jump down from KLCC. This is just my point of view and no animals was being harm. ;)

The forum got a summary by Sapu Malaysia.
From my observation, Halim wants to and should make it happen. The increase in stakeholding via open market buying is probably to build up the voting % (or rather his voting %) in the coming EGM to meet the min. 75% quantum. (I think).

Thanks for the below. I think it would translate into additional work for you, since input/output taxes are in the balance sheet. Businesses might have to bear additional audit fees over time in view of this. And to make things worse.....audit fee not a tax deductible. Maybe the tax regulators need to revisit this aspect to relieve the suffering businesses.. Tolong...my small ikan shop have to close shop soon..:(
kenyang88 @ozzie75 Yes it would definitely increase the cost of running the business. But on audit fees, you have to look at audit and gst differently, i believe it would not affect the audit fees unless the company consult us on gst matters. Anyway they have this type of qualified accountant call Gst tax agents licensed by MOF. Other than this, before gst era, tax audit will be conducted by IRB, coming gst era, Custom and IRB will be conducting joint tax audit. I believe cost of compliance will surely increase.
2015-03-18 14:09 | Report Abuse
Is the GST regime foreseeably going to drive up the business compliance cost of companies, in particular audit fees would increase due to the increase in scope of work for you?
kenyang88 gst postponed = more time. more time = taking more customers. anyhow gst software providers will also benefits. the market now is short of supply, its business owners begging providers to service them. providers selecting customers to take. im familiar because im in audit field.
