This price only reflected the effect of Quek's entry into Scomies. I don't think it reflects the RSC price. Do check back the date when Quek's bought into the company. If the current price already reflect the RSC project, HLIB should be blamed as they raised the target before the announcement and after the announcement.

Scomies has shown good result with healthy orderbook with or without rsc. Scomi price will very much depends on scomies share price now. For scomien I dont see any movement unless they got a big project locally. Scomi just need 1 change of fortune. With transportation and oil&gas is growing here. If scomi can prove they can get a big project locally, they will grow. But whether it is going to happen, is a matter of u believing or not. With the edge already mention scomies is actively tendering rsc, certainly something brewing inside. But is ur call to jump ship or not

Scomi must show they have the potential to grow. Like I said I don't expect the report to differ much from the previous few quarters. Revenue n pretax profit about the same. But biggest problem is the net profit is negative. Scomi no longer hold much biz.scomies n scomien will be main revenue. Scomi holds and 70 % of scomies if I m not mistaken. The most valuable asset is scomi oiltool which is under scomies now. So they need to show significant increase in revenue to show growth. Rmbr 1 thing, they have a big debts to finance. Without profit they won't able to finance the debts. That is why they fall from rm1.50 and never recover. And they have no funding to expand. New investment is needed.
