SEB owns 21.56% of the shares in SCable. SEB might not be SCable, but having them own this many shares makes me hold this stock because it's obvious somebody (the CEO?) is building an empire. Hopefully, that translates into PROFIT! Someday...

Another thought about RE. How does Tenaga generate power? Do they use oil? No. They use either coal or gas. The price of gas is stable. The price of coal has been dropping for months. Where were all you experts talking about RE being too expensive when coal was dropping? Why didn't the govt. stop all RE projects when the price of coal went down?

EVERY recent comment here is about renewable energy. Have any of you idiots actually looked at the revenue/profit composition of the company. Environmental Engineering is roughly 70% of revenue and profit. This company lives and dies because of EE. RE is just icing on the cake.
Also, why would the govt. bail on eco-friendly programs like SEDA? You people make it sound like Malaysia is going to turn into Cambodia overnight just because the price of oil has dropped. There's too much pressure on small countries to address global warming for Malaysia to just stop all RE projects. It would make the govt. look really bad in the eyes of the rest of the world.

Hey taciturn,
Thanks for all your balanced, rational, and clearly communicated info. I've just spent the last couple hours reading EVERY comment since Q1/15 results and my eyes are bleeding! It's a shame so many of the comments are from emotional people with an axe to grind against this company. The sick thing is I remember Kukuman's name from back in May! WTF, get a life brother! A "normal" person would let it go and move on. Something is definitely wrong with Kukuman, where, and jjwong. IMO, they either have mental problems or are being paid by the "evil brothers" to get revenge against Ben. Whatever...I just wish they'd shut up.

I've seen a disturbing trend with this stock over the past few months. Down days pretty much always have much higher volume than up days. This is not good! How low will it go? Is this because the Employee Provident Fund Board has been selling off and is no longer a major shareholder?

johnny cash asked if the share placement was good or bad. I'd say it's good long-term, but obviously bad short-term. I've owned this stock for a year and a half, and I'm getting a little aggravated. Other companies that are close to the govt. have shot up, and these guys just muddle along. Plus, why is EPF selling down? And when will Cypark get their MW quota raised?

Another problem is the price of the private placement shares is only 2.36. Usually, share prices trend down to that level after a while. I could see this stock in the 2.30's within the next month or two. Plus, what about the bursa? It looks worn out and tired. It just can't break 1,900, which is pretty sad considering that the S&P has been over 2,000 all week. Sorry for being negative, but the short-term just doesn't look good...

Thailand? You've got to be kidding! Everything I read says that the months and months of protests and no functioning govt. is killing GDP.

Anyway, with high GDP in Malaysia and rising inflation, does anybody think that the imminent raising of interest rates will negatively affect the property sector? Are people talking about this?

tp negative (if that was possible)
This has been a crap company for so long, they don't know how to be successful anymore. If Petronas owns 67% of the shares, why don't they go into the MMHE boardroom and kick some ass?
If any fanboys out there don't believe me, read some of the analyst reports, especially from MIDF and TA Sec.
There are just way too many well-run, exciting companies on the bursa to waste money on these losers.

Why would this stock's price rise? The catalyst was on 4/14. The typical bursa pattern is to go up on high volume for a couple days, and then slowly trend down on low volume over the next few months. If you look at all the analyst reports (except Am's) their TP's are low. Why? Because E&O won't see any profit from STP2 for YEARS!
There's a finite amount of money that local fund managers have to invest in the bursa. It's the same as the Law of Conservation of the universe. You can't add or subtract from the whole. You can only take money from one counter and apply it to another counter. With profit 3 years away, property sector underweight, and other sectors like O&G flying, there's no reason to think that E&O will go up anytime soon.
And as far as Am's TP of 3.90 - be careful. I switched from Am to TA a couple years ago because Am's opinions are HORRIBLE! All they do is pump, pump, pump. They burned me too many times! Nobody else's TP is anywhere close to Am's.

This is another stock for long-term investors. Ng Keong Wee raised his stake by getting the private placement shares that were sold at a PREMIUM of 1 RM to the present share price.
Why would BPuri offer shares at a premium if they didn't think good things would happen down the road. And more importantly, who would buy them?
I just wish these guys were more transparent with their property developments. They say they have property GDV of 2.5B RM, but they never talk about the projects or give specific details. They just mention location. If anybody can direct me to some specifics about the property developments, I would appreciate it.

What are you guys talking about? These guys can't pay their bills and are doing a restructuring. They got fucked in the Middle East, and now they're in trouble.

Any long-term buy & hold people out there?
The way I see it, these guys should be able to migrate to the main board next year, as long as FY/14 is 6M RM profit or more. Is anybody talking or thinking about this, or is one year the same as five lifetimes to a day trader?
Last year, when AMedia announced they wanted to migrate, the price shot up like a rocket!

God, what a bunch of retards! You people should all be picking coconuts instead of commenting about this stock. How come none of you idiots even mentioned Pacific Place?
Could it be that you're all a bunch of day trading jungle-monkeys?

I was looking into buying this "hi-tech" company, so I visited their website. These "hi-tech" idiots haven't updated their investor relations page since 2010! WTF is up with that?!? Doesn't do a lot for confidence, does it?
Also, when looking at why their earnings are so pathetic, I keep seeing the word "delay" being used when making excuses for losing money and not completing projects on time. That shows me they are incompetent.
These guys went through a restructuring a couple years ago, and it looks like they're shooting for another one. Outta here...

Any opinions out there about this private placement?
It'll definitely dilute earnings. Hopefully, their huge orderbook (2.5B) will start rolling in some profit!

And as far as Am's target price, I wouldn't get too excited about that. Their advice is usually wrong, their TP's are usually way too high, and if the price goes up, they just raise the TP. I had an account there for a couple years and was very disappointed in their advice and opinions.

The reason US markets fell on Friday afternoon was because of end of the month rebalancing. Reuters had comments from an agency that said 75% of the money was flowing out of the US markets and into foreign developed markets. (Does that mean 25% will go to emerging markets like Malaysia?)
Plus, don't forget about stronger PMI in China announced this weekend.
