sudahkena, hopefully another one after deal completion is announced... and another one when a confirmed date and amount of special dividend is announced... and another one when quarter report shows profits despite asset disposal... and another one after showing an asset per share jumps post asset disposal...

managed to sell 13k shares at 2.88, but got greedy and added 16k shares of warrant at 1.89. Instead of reducing position, I have actually increased my exposure in Puncak, despite an increase in cash position.

Guess we May have to wait until Puncak able to show profit after asset disposal or a balance sheet showing cash per share of around 3.60 after disposal (before dividend)..

truth is, how can puncak reach its fair value if so many anal-ysts insisting on cash per share of only 2.90 after water restructuring and concern on its o&g business (midf even emphasizes 20 millions losses in 6 months)

money888, I have added some Puncak position by selling Puncak (for every Puncak share) and adding Puncak warrants (I buy 1.25 warrants) when Puncak is around 2.58 and its warrant at 1.58-1.59. Since hng33 has been right on his trade calls on almost 80%, thought if I were to dispose the additional 25%, I could preserve some cash. If it drops later I can add back those position. If it rise, I will just assume I realize the profit like hng33 said. Anyway, initially, I was with a friend discussing some matter and didn't have time to think over it. By the time I was free and overcoming the struggle on selling decision, its too late to fill my sell order despite my sell order (think enter around 4.30 p.m.).

Even though I have yet to successfully follow your exit strategy, your entry strategy has helped me in my decision making and a failed attempt to sell yesterday at 2.87. Guess will wait till Oct 15 now

Or, could you put your thoughts into a particularly space here on i3investors? Sometimes spot some good articles here in i3investor, but didn't really explore in details. Then, we can go and read accordingly.

ec1705, if I can't speak about what went wrong with PR, then, how's it different from BN? I want a better government, not a change in government. When it comes to election, I will vote for BN in an attempt to break the corruptions and racial-based regulations. That doesn't mean that I will have to support whatever PR want or believe in. In fact, a lot of promises made by PR don't make sense and will harm Malaysia. It's just that there is no better alternative right now!

hng33, based on what you said about resistance, that would means more road blocks ahead at 2.86 (Mar 02, 2015), 2.88 (Jan 23, 2015), 3.13 (Jan 05, 2015), and 3.74 (Nov 12, 2014), right? Or, are you referring to closing high? 2.81 (Jul 13, 2015), 3.05 (Jan 02, 2015) and 3.60 (Nov 12, 2014). Or, it can be either a closing high or a day high, a fuzzy region? Thanks.

hng33, does that mean resistance level is a price that buyer has to be able to keep absorbing in any sell down by sellers before seeing the next stage? the economy is actually not good, especially those exporting commodities. Singapore is on a downward trend for 22 weeks already, and the average downward trend is 44 weeks (according to Sinchew, probably from Bloomberg.) Palm oil is hovering around 2300 only because RM is very low, at around 4.30 (today at 4.25) and an expectation El-Nino will disrupt production. Crude oil and natural gas are not expecting a bright future, given that Saudi and Russia are eager to pump and export at all cost while Japan has restarted its nuclear power plant, reducing the demand for LNG. Other than that, from coal, copper, iron ore to wheat, corn, and soybean are all showing weak prices mainly due to over-production, thanks to earlier bullish of China GDP forecasted to grow at least 10% annually, which now is less than 7%.

ks55, my reasoning goes like this. Puncak has a net cash of over 3.60 plus net non-cash asset of 1.00 after Selangor water asset disposal. If below 3, that would be a heavy discount to its cash position and not worth selling. At above 3.80, the cash discount is no longer there, meaning Puncak new business plan has convinced investors some what (unless its traded above 4.60), so its ok to sell if don't like the new business plan. between 3.30 and 3.80, the discount isn't much, so if there is a heavy discount for other shares in the market, switching is alright. between 3.00 and 3.30 though, the discount is still relatively large but not large enough, much like 鸡肋, thus making it a tough call if to exchange or not.

with regards to your Maybank at 5.00, I would assume investors had sensed future loan portfolio to suffer high default to result in heavy selling. At that point, I sure would rather hold puncak.

Puncak, to me, has 2 risks. One is if the deal CAN be completed in time, i.e., within the next 15 days. While current development seems to point towards completion, it has yet to be proved, particularly after past incidents that show politicians are not doing what they are saying, PR and BN alike. If this deal is completed within timeframe, I suppose there will be a surge in share price to reflect its cash position. Another side problem of share price reflecting cash position is anal-ysts reports all suggesting or making an impression a net cash of around 1 billion after special dividend, which is inaccurate. An analysis on its balance sheet will show that net cash after special dividend will be at least back to 1.5 billion, mainly due to its current cash position, reduced debt from sukuk conversion, and warrant conversion. There may be less sukuk conversion/warrant conversion, but the result, while result in net cash to below 1.5 billion, net cash per share will rise above 3.60.

Second is if Rozali will handle cash over 1.5 billion after special dividend with care until a 'really' suitable investment plan is adopted. I believe if share price is traded between 3.30-3.80, it is to reflect both trust level on Rozali with higher price suggesting better confidence (a major factor) and market sentiment (a less important factor given Puncak will become a cash company already).
