Serba, actually come to think of it is very amateurish in terms of how it conducts itself, and who it deals with. Looking at the queries they are actually very basic, verification audit stuff, nothing complex. The question remains that these sort of issues must have also been relevant in previous audits, how where they managed? Is the KPMG audit manager new? I had serious issues with directors constantly dealing in the companies shares, and of course the retailers bane, dreaded PP. Any investigation should cover both audit issues and share dealings and allotment of PP shares, which may be to some of these customers / suppliers, in return for private payment? All speculation, at this stage, but i have a bad feeling. I hope i am wrong as this scandal will have a major impact on Malaysia PLC and Foreign investment. Already Malaysia suffers from poor governance image. This will make matters worse.

Serba, SCIB and Kpower have 2 things in common, same majority shareholder and all have very high receivables, in relation to their capitalised value. Think about it! I don't buy that MYR 3.2 b of receivable cannot be validated pretty quickly? Furthermore, if new auditors are appointed they will have the same process? Management knew it was coming so why did they not take some action before coming to is? Can the directors be sent to jail for deliberately falsifying accounts?

CIMB will be good investment medium term....the actions taken by management during CV would be positive in the longer run. Indonesia and Thailand will businesses will see a good turn around. Indonesia is has very positive outlook with FID coming.
