connie, if Silk breaks through 0.55, it could retrace all the way back to 0.49.

Matrix - as always, thank you for highlighting in depth the 2 candle formations.

dotconsurvivor - this is a very good place to start. Just reading Matrix' postings will accelerate your TA knowledge many many folds.

Matrix - with regards to Silk's pattern on 24/2, is it an engulfing bear candle rather than a dark cloud or does it really matter since they are both bearish signals anyway? Thanks.

nicky - it is best not to average down like that especially when the counter is on a bearish mode.

dreamy - ha ha ha! connie just stopped you there and then. What a cool lady.

connie - it all starts with the short term first then it develops into long term! So, i would say short + long = happy ever after! ha ha ha! What an interesting topic you initiated.

connie - the sellers for Barakah is exhausting. I have scaled in at 1.58 and will collect more if it trends down but I believe the downside is limited for now.

matrix, novice8 - water stocks are in play at the moment due to the current demand to resolve the water issues. I scaled in Engtex and Engtex-WA when it started to trend up to ride the wave.

inwest - yes, water stocks are hot now. I have scaled in Engtex and Engtex-WA to ride the wave.

inwest - good to hear from you. I am fine thank you. I suppose we can't win all the time. I missed Engtex the first time round and now Barakah. Barakah has turned volatile lately but its good for trading. Will wait for the opportune time again. I always remember what you said - let others make profits too.

If you are looking for a software, if I am not mistaken, only those purchased software will offer you that benefit. If not, the above link is pretty useful.

connie - i missed re-entering Barakah this morning when I was out buying breakfast and now it has moved up.

connie - yr patience will pay off. The share market is all about patience, holding power and timing, all easier said than done. You shall be "silkily" rewarded! It should trend down further looking at the momentum.

matrix - yr discipline philosophy is rubbing off on others which is good. Like ulutrader, I am also more disciplined now and I lock in profits at every opportunity.

klsenewbie - yr comments are perfectly rational and valid. From my observation, penny stocks with good fundamentals are holding well but those speculative ones are being sold down. I do not foresee a major sell down in the market and any healthy correction is always a good thing. Just my thoughts.

connie - Silk's dark cloud ended up as an engulfing bear. If 67.5 does not hold tomorrow, it should go into a consolidation phase to test its next support level of 62.5. Subject to confirmation from other indicators, 60 to 63 sen could be a potential entry point.
2014-02-24 16:25 | Report Abuse
connie - Silk is in the process of forming a dark cloud cover, i.e. very bearish undertone, subject to a confirmation tomorrow.

Matrix - thank you for making time to make your posting even though you are going on a holiday. I am also monitoring Barakah for re-entry. It has turned bearish and has retraced 38% on the fibonacci. Lots of upside potentials to this counter but will wait for an opportune time to take position again when there is sellers exhaustion. Enjoy your holiday.

love2trade - Sona = SPAC counter, hence currently no going concern business. THHeavy = ongoing business with a track record, hence, fundamentals can be evaluated. You will need to decide yr own risk apetite to decide which to trade based on yr funds and investment time frame.

Connie - thanks.
Novice8 - thanks. Engtex is a good counter to hold medium to long term based on its sustainable business model with good growth potentials and it also has good fundamentals. Good choice.

connie - thnks for the invitation. I am trading at my maximum now, so, I will pass on Silk for the time being. Silk your way in and silk yourself out with yr silky profits! Silk for lunch?

connie - Silk is a good trading counter. I had a quick trade with it when it was about 0.48 and liquidated when it hit 0.66 within a week. The volume has since tapered off but the trading opportunity is still there. Good luck with Silk.

connie - quite similar strategy to matrix but differ slightly in the selling part. I also do fast trades depending on counters. Usually before I take positions in the counters, I will pre-plan whether this is going to be a fast or medium term play. As long as you make money, it really doesn't matter. But, heh, you are doing fine with yr trades.

connie - doesn't matter sikit or banyak, as long as it is untung! Sedikit sedikit lama lama jadi bukit. (I didn't realize my Malay is still OK). You are on for nasi kandar!

novice8 - Cuscapi's calculated TP1 is 0.44 and TP2 is 0.49. Please bear in mind that TP is only a guide. TP is a figure I keep at the back of my head and I usually do not lock in profits based on TP. I try to ride the profits as far as it can go. Also, your entry price, risk profile and yr trading strategy for this counter plays a big part in the price you want to sell.
It is currently trading at just below the next resistance level of 0.45. If it can stay around this price with increasing volume and momentum, it should be testing the major resistance price of around 0.50 in the days ahead. Hope Cuscapi will be very profitable to you.

Matrix - I missed bottom fishing Engtex this time round and ended up buying in at a higher price of around 1.76. Hesitated when it was 1.70 because the RSI signaled slowing momentum and took my eye off the ball because I am trading almost to my maximum. Pre-occupied with my other trades in Sona, Cuscapi and TH Heavy.
You bought in at a good price. I suppose you can't have it all everytime. Was tracking Engtex since I sold off in early January when it hit 1.85 and above. It still looks bullish with a good turnaround momentum and volume. I reckon it should be testing 1.90 again. Congrats on yr winning position.

Inwest - sorry for this late response. I have taken profits on Barakah and Engtex earlier. I have no more Barakah but I bought into Engtex again when it retraced back to the 1.73 level. So, I am active in Engtex again. Which counters are you currently trading?

Matrix - I cleared most of my portfolio today due to the market downturn caused by the Ukrainian crisis, an external shock to the market, which I think could linger for a while. I cleared Engtex too before it hit my stop loss when the upside potential is severely limited by the crisis.
Manage to lock in profits for some while I sought to minimize losses on others when it hit my stop loss level. You are absolutely right in that we should not panic in such market situations and this is where the trading plan helps. We just execute it accordingly.
Good time to re-juggle my portfolio too as the market weakness has presented traders like us with more trading opportunities and enter at a lower price level.
