as for TG, remember the HK listing announced last night. I think shorties neglected this and what price it will be listed at if its to hit 3US$B shares and Check treasury majority shareholders stakes and the gradual built up. If TG announces more SBB, this will be imminent. so keep the faith

Its a waste of time answering%%$$##xxx. Look at hospital cases not infection rate. It has gone up n remains up from last month. You need gloves when in MCO or lockdown. UK hospital full, Europe, Malaysia (and general populace cannot afford private hospitals), USA. The new strains from SA, UK Brazil is yet to hit the world fully yet. Switzerland rejected Astra Zeneca vaccine . Look at Israel's hospital cases even though its vaccinated over half its population with Pfizer. I agree with Anaconder because I presume his opinion is based on research and facts, trends and projections.....not tossing the coin to see which way the and blows. ------------++-------

I think Tan Sri LWC didnt buy because there is a limit towards his shareholding and he has already reached the limit

=================================================================

1) Like to remind you of the HK listing proposed. Wheredo you think the shares will come from? Treasury or Major shareholders?

2) For those who criticised the share buybacks, remember they have mandate to buy up to 10% of the issued capital.

3) Yesterday may have been a bit of misinformation to allow trades of up to 4 times daily average. Think it through. 180M ..who was buying apart from EPF and SBB (13M only)

4) As for the vaccines proponents, the vaccine not available for another 6 months and then it will be made available ob a prioritised distribution. e.g.: health workers, and the vulnerable. Meanwhile cases are going up over half a million a day worldwide.

In April 2020 , by the time vaccines becomes available in USA as indicated, where cases are going up over a million a week. project them for say 24 weeks, USA alone will have over 40 M cases alone. Worldwide at current levels? to countries where vaccines will not be available as yet.

5) Vaccines are preventive not remedies. They will not cure those inflicted.

6) Remember supply demand in business. If factories have to close due to EMCO, supply chain affected. What does that do to future pricing? What does that do to your competitors not affected. Why did Supermax, Harta etc drop

Now lets work through these "idle chatter" logically and remain focussed.

Keep or load up if you have $$$

Who is seling vaccines shares?

https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/business/2020/11/15/questio...

=================================================

By their fruits you shall know them. ............If you know of a buried treasure on a piece of land, would you not sell everything you own just to buy that land. If the Directors and officers of a company know their vaccine will work properly and efficaciously, why sell the shares then....it makes no sense.

And Pfizer shares fell from 42 to 38.5 over these few days.

They were aware of their preplanned selling date of their shares and the right question is whether they timed the good aspects of announcement to facilitate the share price rise? Other information came out in drips and drabs

1)Whether the vaccine is for all strains of covid is still unclear. What are the likely effects on the new mink strain from Europe?

The most important of the other material non disclosure is the logistics of maintaining a temperature of minus 80 C for the vaccine. A normal freezer is kept at minus 18C. The coldest part of the world is normally minus 40C. The logistics of transporting the vaccine from labs to end user even in a country like USA is perhaps something one should mull over; let alone across the world to Europe and Asia. It cannot be an cooler box but my physics lessons tells me it may have to be a continuously powered freezer LARGE enough to handle the millions required.The temperature of the coldest part of the plane (baggage area during flight is between 0C and 25C.

To the vaccine proponents, if you can answer these questions I will listen to you..

Top Glove says special dividend possible as it shifts to quarterly payout.

UOB Kay Hian Private Ltd analyst Philip Wong, who attended a recent conference call with Top Glove, wrote in a note today that should Top Glove declare any special dividends, it will be for the third quarter of FY21 (3QFY21) at the earliest.

"Based on the company’s dividend payout policy of 50% and our projected earnings, the implied dividend yield for FY21 is 7.7%. For every 10% additional payout, the dividend yield increases by 1.6%. That said, dividend yields would moderate to 2.1% and 1.2% for FY22 and FY23 respectively,” Wong said.
===============================================================
This article is written based on opinion of Wong. How can they pay quarterly dividend if it only starts in 3rd quarter as opposed to semi annual dividends. It does not make sense. Why make an announcement if it ends up as "Business as usual". You decide, Author made some assumptions
which means his assumptions based on historical trends are erroneous.

from $1.8plus B this year to a minimum of $7-12B profits next year based on analysts expectation, TG is going to be flushed with cash. TG also going to buy up to 10% of its stocks...check announcements. So personally I won't be surprised if we start getting dividends by shares from treasury based upon their historical tendencies. But its only my opinion.

so, analyse and use your heads...not just your eyes reading rumours.

So many poorly thought out "news" propagated by some people claimed to have many years experience.

With a captive market, if price of production goes up either by repayments to foreign workers recruitment fees and or factory shut down due to MCO ( creating further shortages), do you think ASP will remain the same? Don't get fooled by these simpletons ramblings. They are helpful to Gloves INC Malaysia to raise prices whether Supermax or TG or our other gloves companies

Emirates at one stage had over 100k foreign workers in the construction industry but no one talked about recruitment fees repaid to workers. There is a serious game afoot here and personally the CBP should be investigated. with over 36M cases now. Its grown more that 50 % since someones sigh quoted 22.3M on Aug 20th

With TG's $50M remediation fees, if the ASP went up by $1USD per 1000, it means nothing to them.

So if the cretins want to spread scary rumours, thank you as I can continue to load up. important thing to look at is supply vs demand.

There are no laws in Malaysia governing "restrictive trade practices" and or " restraint in trade" laws and regulations to stop or require governmental agencies to prevent say....TG making a corporate move for one of the other 3. How would the cretins feel if say TG tries to takeover Supermax?

I think worth to mention that yesterday's EPF purchase was the single largest daily increase in shareholding since end-2018. EPF added 13.696mil shares and increased their to above 5% once again yesterday.

They held around 7.7% of TG's share as at Dec-2019. Throughout Jan-Apr 2020, EPF has slowly gradually reduced their exposures in TG and stalled being substantial shareholder in Apr-2020. TG's share price was slightly above 2.00 in April-2020 (post-BI adjustment price).

Yesterday, EPF added 13.69mil shares at roughly 4 times higher price compared to Apr-2020 level. I hope it means that our provident fund have great confidence in TG and the prospect of domestic glove sector.

May EPF increase their position to above 7% shareholding again. :D

================================================================

Glad my money no more at EPF

Can you work out how much they disposed it for early this year and what they spent to buy it back.

To those who have not confidence in gloves, from Aug 20Th till to today Covid cases increased from 22.3M to 32.9M (10M in just over a month in comparison of how long it took from Dec 09 to 22M). It is sad but Malaysia has to continue to work hard supply more gloves , masks and PPE to help the poor countries in Europe and USA ( except they have bodgy figures as you cannot get tested unless you are in hospital). If you read the news, Boris is considering a 6 month lock down. see figures in Europe.

It's a bit naive of an author who claims to be an investment advisor to conclude that shareholders will not benefit if TG buys back shares instead of paying dividends and hold them as Tresaury shares. When TG is $12 nest year or more, those Treasury shares will seem very cheap to be used as dividend in specie rather than paying out cash dividend (as MBB, HSBC does based on shareholder election) and using the cash that would be paid out as dividend next year or use a combination of shares and cash for corporate moves, mergers and acquisition.

But what do I know.

Point to ponder...

Perhaps having a Bonus issues may not be a good things after all. I'm glad that Hartalega and Kossan did not do a Bonus Issues.

The revenue is still the same when they do the MQ Research House do their two contradict TP over a period of two months. The only differences is the Bonus Issues by Top Gloves and Supermax that create an opportunities for MQ, JF Apex and AmInvest to downgrade their TP.

Perhaps, if there is no Bonus Issues by these two, Gloves counters could have rocket to the next level. There is always a risk when you change the specification of an F1 cars when it's already running on Top Speed.

Think about it!

The other bugbear about this bonus issue is the earnings per share drops; so you got to take care comparing against previous quarters/years.

at least our local IB pls change your mind, try to support our current market...don't keep surprise the our beloved Malaysia market.

==========================

1) Who are the IBs except those fund managers who work for some people and institutions who put their money there and expect a certain margin a year.

2) How do IBs make money on todays market where every company is reporting lower figures, profits...look at MBB, BAT, Carlsberg, Tenaga, Genting and other blue chips. Nesley and Dutch Lady too high. Gloves move too much so they want it to be volatile to capitalise in the volatility by arbitrage.

3) What would you do if you were working in an IB.

4) As for Macquarie, don't put it all on the Indian author, but you got to expect that the company instructed him to write and must approve it before it was publicised. He is only an employee and given their call warrants positions. You should only focus on revenue and PAT and covid and ASP and PE ratios.

5) So look for opportunities when the IBS play again. You must expect it. Skill is going out if resources limited, wait and come in again. Someone else said that Its will play next week ( Maggie). They have to decide to either play TG or sell others . In either case, learn to see the forest for the trees....and ask right questions. Thats my training .Good luck.

If world market drop and glove counters drop, I buy more gloves stocks in Malaysia. Which industry in the world is reporting matching last years profit apart from Amazon and some tech companies. Why...answer is obvious. Covid cases increase 20+ percent in three weeks and now its winter in the 'recalcitrant countries" and you get fires, hurricanes and so on. How to wear mask and social distance or test for the matter.

Did you read about health workers lacking PPE now catching Covid. If you were PM or president, can you let this surfacing issue go unabated? You have no more doctors and nurses to treat the general populace then and will certainly be booted out. So governments and hospitals will have to spend on PPE. Agree?

Labour abuse, price in already lar.. expected next year qtr stagnant...blA bla... all this doesn't help us to lift up Bursa... y ill IB so bad?

=============

1) Labour Abuse by holding their passports? They will have to ban us all.

Which one of us Malaysian who had employed a foreign maid/worker does not hold their passport? The job hopping is pandemic and no employer wants to pay for their airfare etc for them to job hop elsewhere. second, its for safe keeping otherwise they lose it.

If not held by employer, its held by agency. Right?

2) Foreign workers cannot repay initial outlays. Don't blame employers. but the sharks who "rob them blind" to get them visa and travel documents and expenses from home to Malaysia.

3) Poor wages. -There is only one country I visited where especially waiters expect to be tipped irrespective of service. The USA. ( in one restaurant in Washington, they ignored us for half and hour, service was so bad that I refused to tip them....but they beg to be tipped) They so underpay their workers in the service industry that these now unemployed are in the streets. So see through the hypocrisy in the actions of CBP.

do u guys think the cnn report will hurt the share price for big 4 tomorrow?

My opinion. for gloves and PPE investment people. NOT speculators and certainly not margin account trades.

1) I think the CBP from USA did you gloves guys a favour by temporarily banning import of TG products. Based on how much TG supplies to USA, it creates an further artificial shortage in USA and results US dumbos having to buy from others. Covid cases in USA had been going upwards and worldwide cases, sadly has increased from 23.2 to 28.7 M in about 3 weeks. It result..price increase in ASPs. TG had to pay about 53M MYR to report to be prepared and submitted. All TG has to do is increase its price in USA by (ha ha ha)[how many US cents per glove).

2) Meanwhile US has to beg some of our other producers for stock. So expect better results from the others.

3) meanwhile TG diverted its supplies to other countries needing it more and probably at current price. Thats probably explains why TG may earn higher PAT than expected and why Boss smiling from cheek to cheek.

4) As for his 200M purchases on Thursday and Friday, don't be surprised if he bought more next week and using it to do a Supermax. Dividends in specie. So he buys back oversold shares and support price. I think he is very smart man.

5) so (a) I expect dumb CBP people to lift ban fairly soon before Thursday and you see DAP rocket by Friday taking off.

6) If he wants TG to be top market cap stock in Bursa, a combination of these will have to happen next week especially with the poor MBB results , no dividends and shareholders have to hold and pray that further downside with exposure overseas due to covid. EPF will have to support MBB price next week or it will be overtaken sooner if it drops. I had already sold my MBB shares already otherwise I will clear first thing in the morning. Not keeping Teenage for 22 cents when I expect more by capital gains and dividends in gloves.

7) You need to look at figures and have patience.
Good hunting

MAS wrote to me to cancel both my outward and return journey with suggestions of re-booking.

How many governments are banning its people from travel overseas and how many countries still ban Americans from entry.

Australia govt announced it will buy about 85M+ ( for a country of 30+M population) doses of vaccine last week only to hear the bad news yesterday that company they ordered from is withholding release now due to complications in third stage trials and side effects.

If a country orders three times its population, we got 7B people in the world. How many doses we need.

How many doses can a company make a year?

Isolation in Melbourne is extended and Queensland won't let others in. Canberra is a hot spot now.Lets think about India, Brazil and the hot countries in the charts. Those concerned with US CBP 'ban'...please look at the presentation slides and work out how many gloves USA purchases from topglove; and the increased orders since Jan to July (184%).
Then read and think about the short supply scenario of gloves worldwide.

then ask, do you think USA are "suicide mania " tendencies. TG already said gloves can be rerouted elsewhere in the meantime. they need gloves more than any country in the world with the growing covid cases.

would it be possible that in view of the prices increases in gloves ,and the bankrupting US economy, this tactic employed by US is a ploy for them to stop runaway prices increases to negotiate better prices. I think TG is doing the right thing...comply and wait (don't antagonise them) ....but see who last longer. so they "man man pau" (slow slow run)

Areca Capital Sdn Bhd chief executive officer and fund manager Danny Wong Teck Meng said the last 10 minutes of heavy selling was probably due to the rebalancing of portfolios at the end of the month.

“We think the securities of Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd and Supermax Corp Bhd which will be added as constituents of MSCI Global Standard Indexes at the end of this month and dropping IJM Corp Bhd from the list, may cause the index to fall further.

“Because of the rebalancing of portfolios, we think some blue chips need to be sold off and buy more (shares) of Kossan and Supermax,” he told Bernama.

It seems this is a reasonable spin to the historical volume in supermax trade is last few minutes. Maybe only one side of the story because of the inclusion into the MSCI from Monday, do you know that the charter of most funds and institutions that the $$ has to be in MSCI stocks. So while they may be selling out on those leaving the index (check those counters)......IJM corp fsee its volume for instance.

But would you load up on supermax before Monday for your own benefit or maybe you have been instructed to load up to those funds i.e. buying on their behalf and do a one off market transaction sometime later.

a) Trumps treatment comment.

1) How long do you think it takes to manufacture enough vaccines economically to serve the worlds population? affordability is an issue as prices will rise with demand as you stock traders know. Within the populace, unless given free, the rich with medical insurance say in USA can pay but the poor???? so does it stop the spread?

2) Gloves manufacturing will not meet demand for at least another year after vaccine is 'found". Then again with the mutation of the virus, hope the find one that fits all strains. otherwise, keep producing gloves.

3) the signs that international travel will not happen for another minimum 6 months is telling. I just had an email from MAS cancelling my flight again. No telling when it will be resumed. Qantas said all flights only likely end next year

1)For those who listened to Trump peddle vaccines and treatment....they go to feed the naive and feed new "research" from the minions at certain banks and papers..

Even if there is some credence to this form of treatment, research what is needed to draw plasma from a person for the antibodies. More gloves needed. Use your time to do research; ask right questions. see what happened to Pharma

2) Topglove did say earlier that the USA ban will be resolved by end August. Check Timing.

3)The superman 1 for 45 dividend entitlement is post BI. So for those working out how to avoid odd lots, say if you have 2000 shares. after BI you will have 4000 shares. Buy another 500 shares after ex BI but before dividend entitlement, you have 4500 n you get 100 shares. Also you be supporting share price. Keep long term. Covid worldwide close to 24M

It seems that 1) some people believe the stuff that Donald Trump peddles: the approval of the use of plasma for treatment of covid as if its a revelation. ( His record speaks for itself) .Many countries have been using this method to merely reduce severity of the infection. The problem is finding enough donors ( although there are plenty in USA. Australia had been using it months ago. To find donors and collect plasma, USA has most cover patients fortunately but you need more gloves.

2) Question whether the appointment of Pharmaceuticals to repackage and distribute vaccines when found will reap $$$ for company. If costs goes up over and above purchase costs significantly ( and we don't know how much yet) there is the issue of affordability and if masses cannot afford it. you don't stem covid cases.

3) USA needs gloves most and if you believe they will continue to implement their silly baseless sanctions against TP. you need to see a doctor as TP supplies 25%.

4) only business that is growing is gloves.
