I think it's a good culture to value the positives and not just focus on the negatives

That dead men can still serve China. Chinese can accept the fallibility of men , no man is perfect but on balance mao deserves to be honoured. That China has eyes fixed on the future and what is good for China , that Mao is still loved very much especially in poorer regions of China. That Russia made a big mistake in removing statures of Stalin. That China values inclusiveness that because man is fallible, in order to evaluate a person's true worth, the intentions are important considerations, the achievements must be celebrated and not just focus on the negatives.
