The short term scenario - because there is a big realistic potential for the counter to move much higher, many type of investors jump in the band-wagon, intra-day and contra players. That disrupt the market. The cindycat is also smart. They dont want all their hardwork to be taken advantage by contra players. So people who has knowledge that the counter will go up soon. dumps their share when contra players bought. When the dust settles, they re-purchase and the price goes higher than before.

The long term scenario - because the profit definitely will increase over quarters this year, new investors, IB, foreign fund, will tend to buy when they see better result coming out in the future. Their disadvantage, they cant predict future profit at present. So, we, as investors, need to equip ourself with the right tools, right techniques to predict future company profit. Then you just keep while others are selling or re-purchasing again like how you keep your money in the FD. End of the year, you take it out plus interest (capital gain) in this stock.

AA price has risen 180% from Jan 2016. AAX has risen only 120%, to be equal AAX should rise to 0.57. So comparing with AA, AAX is laggard, it will catch up.

Load factor wise, AAX / AirAsia operates on a different business model that allows the airline to offer to a different market segment unreachable by other airline.

No reason not to purchase if you are long term investor. If you play on contra. Just sell.

Humbleisland : You are partly right there. Cyclical. Not only that - Forex, Oil Price and etc. So Profit can give you some reality distortion.

May I suggest, to remove that distortion, dont look at profit. Compare revenue QOQ and YOY. I hope you can see the trend that I do see. After you satisfied with the revenue trend, look at profit and try to predict whether with that type of revenue trend, future profit would be higher or lower ?

I give you a hint. MYR will not be less than current exchange rate because Bank Negara has got a mechanism in place. Oil price would be comfortable at USD 55 and below. AAX is expanding in USA.

Chinpeng : High risk high gain. Only shark could move Anzo like that and majority of people who bought Anzo at 0.25 are sharks and syndicate. Franky, I dont have much time to analyze, when Anzo shot up, I did do some bit of analysis and I dont like what I see. That time the price is 0.50 . If I bought Anzo , I would be sitting on a pile of loss and I will become a sore loser.

The thing about investing, buy when you see value but others hate it. When i bought AAX in January, I took time to analyse quarterly report and to understand why AAX was making losses in 2015. When I compared the situation quarterly in 2015 and do some regression on exchange rate, oil price, I knew in January 2016 that the report to be presented in February 2016 will be very good. So I bought.

Sell when you see future value erosion and others are still dreaming. You know what I mean from my previous comment.

When I bought AAX in January , I was looking at a 6 month - 12 month ahead window. The price peak around August - September (around 0.47 - 0.50) . You can traced it back on this chart.

In Septermber , I sensed MYR currency is moving south, in the quarter ahead. October - December - Q42016. If you look at the annual report, Q4 2016, AAX made around RM 120 million foreign exchange loss. If I can not see that going to happen in September, I would have bought more. In fact, I was complaining about the currency exchange rate in this AAX forum a few times. The annual report for Q42016 released in February 2017 stated the problem which I have foreseen around September - October 2016.

So, now, I am not complaining anymore. I am going to say the macroeconomics condition has changed. The future is bright for AAX. If you dont believe me, dont buy. If you believe me , join me buying. It will not be fast. It may take 6 months to 12 months. If sharks come in, it may be fast. I have some bullets to continue investing this time around from my success at DNEX. But prefer to do it slowly. When the result come out and I cant get cheaper price, I will do it agressively.

Calvin Tan group of friend - Rahza , Chinpeng, Ironpussy are all sore losers. They promoted MUI Industry to help the founder to pay his ex-wife divorce claim, but pity all the uncle auntie, brother, sister, friends , relative who bought at 0.28 cents now have to cut loss at 0.24 cents. That is 20% losses within 3 days contra period. But when it falls , the volume is thin - that means one thing : the sharks , BB that push the price up , has now trapped themselves in the process. MUI is a loss making company for 3 consecutive years and 12 consecutive quarters. Who in the sane mind would want to buy that share company ?? It is better to give to charity than give to an old man to pay his ex-wife. If the shark can not tahan, waterfall price drop is expected. That share is Holland share.

Always con-man want us to buy non-valuable stock. Loss making stock. You see those technical stocks that rises in the past few weeks. Where are they now ? Rise 1 day , 2nd. day , falls below the average price of rise, and never recover. Why ??? They are all loss making company. No IB, no foreign fund, no sane investor willing to buy them. They know that MUI and things like that are "go to holland" stocks. So, the sharks will let go their shares to retailer. But when retailer is not convinced, the shark will have to take the loss themselves.

Now look at company that is growing their profit , year after year , and my favourite the past 1 month is DNEX. Frankly, I missed the first boat, I was too busy to analyze their financial statement when a friend hint me about DNEX, But when I have time to look at their three previous years of Financial account, I like what I see. I bought them - my gain from there is RM 200K. Sold them. Enough to sustain 1 year of my lifestyle. And the price is already high. There is some room upward. That is fine to those who want to invest. But, if your instinct tells you the macroeconomics situation has changed such that another cheaper share has the chance to move upwards in the coming 6-12 months, my instinct tell me to invest in these shares. These shares are AAX, AAX-WA. When exchange rate is improving, profit will increase and when crude cant beat USD 55 ceiling, then we know the business is sustainable. AAX is back because we buy the stocks which we think would improve its profit in 6 months - 12 months forward. Why AAX ? Exchange rate is one. Oil price is one. Growth is one. USA open skies is one. Increase in asset to generate new revenue is one. With new revenue, increase of profit is one. There are many other things. Currently AAX is the world beater.

Sold 1,000k today. If price goes up by 0.5 cents, will cell another 1,000k. If the price goes down at 0.01 cent, I will buy and sell back at 0.02 cents.

Ironpussy : many people are out of their mind buying MUI Industries at 0.28 cents. If you think AAX should be bought at 0.33, then MUI can only be bought at 0.05.

As what Fortune Bull has said , we are at tail end. One factor we cant control is the AirAsia tender factor. The owner may want to show good profit in Airasia to attract buyers. Once the tender is over, there is not much incentive to show good profit in AirAsia because the price is already high. Whereas AAX price is 10% of AAX. Common sense say, the growth in capital will be in AAX. So, I believe , the owners will turn their attention in AAX once AACC sales is completed.

ironshirt : those statistical tools on broker platform is very basic. you cant include econometric into it. Can you do the simple multiple linear regression with it ? Or non-linear regression ? Or calculate correlation coefficient ? or calculate the significance of exchange rate movement up to 95% confidence level ?

A RM 200 million profit company could not take off because many negative talkers erode retailer confident. I wonder , if it become clear if the annual profit jumps to RM 400-RM500 million , wont you jump into the bandwagon as well ?

Those two facts were the main catalyst for AAX run-ups last year. Only to be spoiled by the opposite effects late last year.

People, we buy stock for its future value. If we sense the economic circumstances would increase the value within 6 months to 12 months time, if you have spare cash doing nothing - close your eyes and buy AAX and AAX-WA. It is going to be very fruitful this year around.
