To add more spice to that fictitious example, the Malaysian Chap and his China JV Business partner, also appointed many marketing agents to rent out their condonominium in Johor Baru. Another analogy, let me use property as an example so that Calvin can understand well...In Johor Baru, there is 500 condominum being built by a Developer Tokey.... So, come one chap from Singapore , he said to the Tokey he wants to buy 5 condominium.... So Tokey said, RM 1 million per condo, so your bill is RM 5 million. Then next year, that chap come and buy another 95 condo, the tokey said, due to appreciation, the price now is RM 1.5 million per condo and that chap pays RM 142.5 million for 95 condo. So total amount that chap paid is RM 147.5 million for 100 condo.

The Tokey also building another 100 similar condo at a different block. And there is another chap from Malaysia. Today, he meets that Tokey... he said , hallo Tokey I want to buy 100 condo from you. The Tokay calculate, well I give you RM 0.95 million per condo. Some discount because you buy big volume now.. That chap, said the price is still very much high... So see you later. The Tokey calculated, he can sell at RM 0.7 million and he had an opportunity loss of RM 70 million because today because he loss a customer. Of course , if you calculate compounded interest for 20 years , you get the amount of money that the Tokey will get is RM 185 million if he sells all his condo today much higher than selling at higher price to that Chap from Singapore.

Next year, at the same place, that Chap from Malaysia comes again and meet the Tokey...Again he said, he wants to buy all 100 condo from that Tokey, at the price of RM 0.75 million each at one go , and start paying for all of it only in 5 years time (when all the condominium completed construction). That Tokey calculated that, he will earn RM 155.9 million with this condition. He thinks, because this Chap in Malaysia is persistent and has a big number of operation in this world, the Tokey agrees to sell all his 100 condominum at RM 0.75 each to the chap in Malaysia and start to be paid only in 5 years time. They sign letters of sales and purchase with all the lawyers stamping on the conditions discussed.

So, that Chap in Malaysia is jumping around happily because he has beat that Chap from Singapore by RM 0.25 million and he could start to rent out the condo at the price where that Chap from Singapore could only breakeven without profit.

Now, this Malaysia Chap is thinking, he would own too many condo, what he needs to do ? So, he find a partner from China with 2 billion people, and he made a JV to have a time-sharing rental but the partner need to pay him RM 4 billion and assume all the liabilities. Soon, many China tourist visit Nusajaya, Legoland, and Singapore but stay in Johor Bahru, stay in that Chap condominium and he earns a healthy RM 100 million annually by owning some portion of shares in that JV company. Of course, this is only example , fictitious...You can use your imagination to relate this to AirAsia X vs Singapore Airlines.

Oil strong uptrend momentary. The dog eats dog cartel do not include USA, Iran, Iraq, Libya. In fact the oil production cuts is made to cater for increase of production in Iran and Iraq. So, oil price will go back to square one - $45 when reality sets in.

The average rate, is displayed in operating cost. Since, this year, the load factor and revenue is higher by around 35% and ticket price is also higher, revenue should cover any increase of operating cost due to currency fluctuation. My personal hope, PAT around RM 150 million.

Q22016 - Q32016 : Currency depreciates by RM 0.13 (4.00 - 4.13) - and forex loss was RM 30 million. Q32016 - 12 December 2016 : Currency depreciated by RM 0.29. If you extrapolate that, Forex loss is around RM 78 million. So, I expect, at most forex loss this quarter is RM 80 mill.

Cash-flow hedge (currency hedge) in the reserve exceeds RM 100 million (Q2-2016). For Q4 2016, it would have some value. So, if they close the hedge, the reserve of RM 100 million plus Q4 cash-flow hedge would exceed all the forex loss.

It is possible thay Forex loss 4Q2016 is up to RM 80 million. I expect , "Others" revenue, "Cash-flow Hedge" and "Deferred Tax" gives an added recenue of RM 120 and would cover Forex loss.

A very clever game by TF when he sells AAC.

First strategy, start-up the leasing unit.

Next, build its competitive advantage (buy big amount of planes and get significant discount) against any competitor in the industry.

Third strategy, when the business getting momentum, find partner to unlock the value of the company. The partner must have background which could grow the leasing plane market share - China : 2 billion people, 2 billion market.

Fourth strategy, the partner would make market progress and would inherit around 300 planes to be delivered in asset and liabilities. kikikikikikikikikiki.

The reward - The value which he unlocks is RM 4 billion. Not RM 400 million but RM 4 billion. Or , to be more dramatic RM 4, 000, 000, 000.00

If I open this page http://klse.i3investor.com/servlets/stk/annqtyres/5238.jsp , I suddenly realised that current AAX P/E ratio is between 3.7 to 5.3.

That P/E ratio is very low for a company making profit like AAX. It simply means that the price is currently low compare to its earning. A realistic low end value of P/E is 7.

So, when, I extrapolate to P/E= 7 , the price of AAX share should be 70 cents ! . O.K. that is the low end value. Normally, we also use P/E ratio to find signal when to sell the share and it is a norm that P/E = 13 is regarded at thigh end P/E. Of course , some counters had P/E up to 30 and so on.... But to be in a save side, I just use P/E=13 . And the corresponding price at P/E=13 is RM 1.40 .

I dont know why people would still be doubtful about AAX when its P/E ratio is just 3.7 ?? !!

@Informer - OK, it is fair... you cant get profit RM 150 per ticket if I buy Malindo ticket from you. That is fine.

The trend ? Exchange rate has moved from 4.47 to 4.43 after Bank Negara instructed export companies to bring back money to Malaysia. The expected trend ? USD will go down 4.10 to 4.15 as the speculators are afraid to take up new positions.

The trend ? Oil price has moved down from $53 per barrel to $49 per barrel. As I told everyone, oil price goes up based on rumours and cartel "Memorandum" of agreement. But since Cartel kills each other in this dog eat dog world, oil price move back to real price when supply and demand information is unearthed. Trend ? It will move down to $45 per barrel. Any new cuts of supply , will be balanced by new supply from Iraq and Iran. These two countries need money badly to finance their development. On top of that, Petronas had a big presence in Iraq. One of my relative is transferred to Iraq because Iraq has a lot of oil to be supplied to the world.

@informer : Before MAS was made bankrupt by Airasia, there is one airline received the same fate - That is British Airways. Fact - British Airways was made bankrupt by Virgin Airline. There are some similarities between the case brought forward by Virgin Airline and AirAsia.

(a) British Airways and MAS are government linked companies.
(b) Tony Fernandes worked as both Virgin Airline before he pioneer AirAsia/AAX.
(c) Rate of growth of Virgin Airline is phenomenal, so is AAX.
(d) Virgin airline close unprofitable route within minutes, similar with AAX.
(e) Both British Airlines and MAS were led by snobbish people.
(f) Both British Airways and MAS were made bankrupt by Virgin Air and AA and AAX.
(i) British Airways learnt its lesson, but MAS will never learn their lesson.
(j) Malindo Air will follow suit, dont worry.
