KUALA LUMPUR: Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) new Chairman, Datuk Wira Azhar Abdul Hamid, arrived at Menara Felda at 8.15am today for his first day at the company.

He will have his first meeting with the key management staff at the premise at level 45.

Azhar was welcomed by Felda Director-General and FGV member Ab Ghani Mohd Ali and officer-in-charge Datuk Khairil Anuar Aziz.

They later accompanied him to level 45.

After the management meeting, Azhar is expected to have his second meeting at 3pm with the board members. -- BERNAMA

to me sure got asset injection n LLA is an uphill task hence felda take away their land or close shop by taking private. Fgv cannot be saved without surrendering lla. We are waiting for some news n expect fgv to hit 2.30 n run run run

Top management must be comittted like IOI n KLK, Azahar must think like them n be comitted

FGV problem:
1. Must get rid of LLA which means fgv have to surrender felda land n inreturn felda pays 3 billion to fgv.
2.Talking of replanting it takes many many years to see profit moreover how sure are we that fgv can give IOI or KLK yield about 25-30 mt of fruit per ha per annum.Current yield about 15 mt.
3. Conclussion felda take away their land n new asset have to be injected which is the only choice to save fgv. Azahar will be doing that which PM also have plans if u had been follwing d media news.
4. To save fgv as it is is just llike a ' a wild goose chase"
