Ohh.... my guessing only laa, it is because some one is able to "manipulating" the price thro' legal market trading.. When they wanted to buy a certain counter share, they will press down the price.. How they can do this ?? Many times, you can observed that both buyer and seller is actually a same party. So, in this way, they influence the market price... Got it ? Why they interested in this counter, because of the 8 sen dividend laa. After they got the dividend from this share, they will definitively sell out the shares, thro' legal market trading, at a higher price. Therefore, at the end, they sapu the dividend + gain in share price..

After the implementation of GST in 1 April, 2015, Mobile companies are allowed to incorporate the 6% service tax into their prepaid services to be paid by customers... currently these service taxes are absorbed by the mobile companies without charging the customers. So, after April 1, prepaid customers need to pay more and Maxis will earn more. Further more, Maxis' restructuring and transformation in 2013 and 2014 will help Maxis in its cost savings and result in higher income. So, it is highly possible that Maxis' price will be higher after Q1 2015.

Then buy Maybank. Its PE is 12, earning per share is 70 sen whereas Maxis is only 20 sen/share & Maxis need to borrow to pay for its dividend of 40 sen/share. Frankly, Maxis paid more than it earned.

Maybank current price is RM8.60, so, you need to top up a little bit more to buy this best dividend counter in KLSE. Good luck Motainai !

AllianceDBS Research said :

"There is will be positive impact from the pass-through of the service tax to prepaid subscribers when the Goods and Services Tax is implemented in April 2015.

"We assume a three per cent effective increase in prepaid revenue for the mobile players leading to two to five per cent upgrades in the financial year 2015 and financial year 2016 earnings," the research house said.
