Jermyn, let me tell you why when Trump just announced that 10% import Tariff for USD200BILLION China goods indeed has cause whole world markets to jump up....there is explanations behind this. The answer lies in the Yuan Dollar exchange rates. The 10% tariff increase has become "Null and void", but Americans will pay same price or slightly higher price. When there is expectation that by Jan2019 Trump will increase tariff to 25%, psychologically Americans will rush to buy excessive amount of China products before the expectation of price increase.
Net effect---> Stronger economy, stronger spending/consumption, Stronger USD, Stronger US-China trade deficit.....
US companies earnings will jump
That increase trade deficit leads to Stronger cash dollar flowing to China, Stronger China economy, Stronger China stock market, Stronger whole world economy!!!
