Too much DRP may not be a good thing.
1) it increases the share issue, thus diluting future EPS

2) fund which needs cash to pay dividend might sell their DRP, thus creating more selling pressure.

..BUT on exdate, possibility the price might be 9.30, so after ex at 9.00, will result your DRP having a 80 sen (10%) discount by then...haha

@jeffchan1901, the price fixing, if started on declaration date, should have completed today, average price about 8.80, so ex price will be 8.50.
Based on last year's DRP discount of about 3.6%, DRP should be about 8.20.

Can expect announcement tomorrow or Friday.

Bcos it's a mid size bank, it attracts less fund interest.
Look at today's trading among banks after all have reported, Maybank seems to attracts very good buying interest.

The announcement of DRP and ex dividend date will probably on this Thursday or Friday.

Ex date will be 2 weeks from announcement date and payment will be 1 month from ex date....so it will probably be on 2nd half of April.

The Group finished off the 2021 financial year strongly, with a 4QFY21 net profit of RM2.06bn (+33.8% YoY, +22.1% QoQ). Cumulative 12MFY21 net profit of RM8.09bn (+24.9% YoY) is ahead of our expectations at 106% of full-year numbers, but within consensus at 103%. Margins improved sequentially, and for the year, which we had under-estimated.

No. MBB is saving any new shares issue for DRP instead of Bonus.

It's better to reward shareholders with high dividend (inclusive of DRP) than bonus issues...because ex price from dividend can easily recover but price adjustment from bonus cannot recover.
