Sifu tolle....I normally withdraw fund fro ASM on the beginning of the month ( cos the dividend is monthly rest)....this morning thought of getting my next round bullets...but reconsider cos of the volatility....wait n see for another few days....if the volatility persist, then may be will only top up next month.

It is good that S&P is fxxking the government, telling them mai luan luan lai.....if not, populist politicians will continue to make banks as Santa Claus.
As a long term investor, short term price fluctuations is not a concern, whether it's 7,8 or 9, long term investors don't sell, they buy for keep to collect dividend.

Now that S&P is telling fxxking politicians that banks do not belong to their fathers....our future dividend will likely be less affected.

This stock is the No.1 holding of Amanah Saham Bumiputra with a fund size of 173B as at end 2020. For those who envy the high dividend their unit holders get but not eligible to buy....then just follow the fund...buy MAYBANK.

JJFinn : nobody can accurately predict future price movement, whenever you have spare fund, just top up and keep for long term.
If you ask me, I think the share will trade above 10 is a year or two and above 12 in 2 to 3 years.
Management has a guidance of above 100 sen EPS in their 5 years plan, if they can achieve that, then 12 means a PE of less than 12 times, which is very cheap for the No.1 blue chip.
And while waiting for them to grow the profit, you still get a dividen of about 7%....mana mau cari :)


you cannot campare this with high beta speculative stock...while the short term gain might be tempting....look at what happen to those who chase gloves stocks last year.

@Cslee no, MBB is my long long term hold.

Recently took some profit on Mahsing and Genting and wanted to switch the proceed to MBB but waited too long...now, don't know what to do with the fund....will probably wait for some correction.
