Automotive sector - tis u nid to look into drb annual report, as it is too huge to mention here, anyhow, drb holding 34% Honda Malaysia share, n if u been to Melaka n check out the plant, it's very huge n busy and extension works on-going. i know this sector is in the downturn at the moment, but as RM been depreciating, i think is very good moment for drb to export VW n Honda to oversea market.

Bank Muamalat - this is actually the Crown Gem in drb portfolio, many mayb dunno, bank muamalat is very profitable, as it is the 2nd biggest full-fledged Islamic bank in malaysia, and it is very tight connected to government, if u r government servant looking for loan, u know what im talking about...just like bank islam, affin & cimb. also, drb current looking for buyer to pare down share from 70% to 40% as requested by bank negara, or else...IPO lo, then ppl will know what kind of market value im talking about. My HL agent called me, n said their team just study the soft loan government provided, actually is very good for drb.
Is a total win solution for drb, cos drb only nid to redeem part of the loan from 2023, which mean in tis 7 years, if proton keep on losing money, drb can let go proton to government, n if proton return b to profit, drb can just keep it.
One more thing is, without Proton in drb latest annual financial, actually drb is making 500m profit, n based on HL research, regarding the launch of 4 models tis year, they r very positive tat proton shall regain b market share even in current harsh environment.
