Back to the technical chart of YTLPower, I believe the share price of YTLPower is bullish now.
Looking at the candles on 5, 6 and 7 August 2024, these 3 candles formed a "Morning Star Pattern" which is also the trend reversal pattern.
The share price of YTLPower closed today is 4.46 which is higher than the high of the candle on 7/8/2024 which is at 4.44.
Both the daily "Morning Star Pattern" and weekly "Dragonfly candle Pattern" displayed a trend reversal pattern.
It means the low at 3.84 on 6/8/2024 is confirmed to be the "Wave c".
I hope the worst is over, and we expect to see a blue sky all the way.

There is an extraordinary gain of 350 million in Q4 2023 PAT, if it is taken out, the actual PAT is 780 million.
Q4 2023 PAT - 1130-350=780
Q1 2024 PAT - 848
Q2 2024 PAT - 845
Q3 2024 PAT - 699

Note :
The Q4 2024 result will be released at the end of August 2024 (around 23/8/2024).
If Q4 2024 PAT is higher than 780 million, both YoY and QoQ are higher, I believe the share price of YTLPower will start to perform again.
The total EPS for FY 2023 is 24.95 sen.
If the PAT for Q4 2024 is 800 million, total EPS for FY 2024 is 38.65 sen.
There is still a growth of 55% over FY 2023.
The present share price is 4.35, the PER is 11.3 times based on EPS=38.65 sen.

I do not agree with your a, b and c corrective or down waves count.
I agreed with your a and b (lighter red color) waves.
I believe your wave a (darker red) should be the wave c which ended at 3.84 on 6/8/2024.
I believe the a, b and c (downtrend) waves have been completed.
3.84 is the low of these downtrend wave a, b and c.

I believe your b (darker red) wave should be the start of the new wave which is labelled as 1 Wave up.

The chance of forming a new low at 2.50 is not going to exist unless 3.84 is broken again in the future.
Looking at the present chart, to me, it is very remote to form a new low at 2.50.

It should read as follows :-

The EPS for YTLPower is 0.46 for FY 2025, the PER=5.4 if the share price of YTLPower drops to 2.50.
YTLPower is the component stock of FBMKLCI. The average PER of the component stock of FBMKLCI is > 15.
Hence it is not logical for the share price of YTLPower to drop to 2.50.

I bought Supermx at 3.60 in 2020, many attackers in I3 attacked me day and night.
I just ignore them and finally I sold most of my Supermx > 20.00.
I made the most money in my whole life from Supermx.

To me, as long as the EPS is still growing, I will continue to hold the stock until the PAT in any quarter result is dropping or not growing, I will sell it.
I strongly believe in the growth of the company.

Malaysia will become the data center hub of Asia in the next 5 years.

Major investors to set up these data centers are Amazon, Apple, Goggle, Microsoft and Nvidia from the USA.

There are 280 MW of data centers in 2024, this figure will increase to 3,221 MW in 2028, an increase of 11.5 times.

Based on DC Bytes projections, CGS (broker) said the data centre capacity in Malaysia is expected to deliver a 32% to 56% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in 2023-2028, far outstripping the 8% CAGR forecast for Singapore.

The current electricity (power) usage in 2023 is > 20.0 GW, additional new capacity of power to be added by 2030 is 10.5 GW. It means extra 50% of electricity usage by 2030 due to the increased capacity of these data centers and population growth.

I really care is to ensure I post my best recommendation based on facts and figures.
I try to ensure all readers can make money from my recommendation.
Looking at all my previous records and recommendations, I still feel very happy that I have contributed positively to all readers in I3.
I will feel very sad when my recommendation does not help all readers here, the worst is to cause a loss to them.
I am very pleased with my recommendation on YTLPower.
I recommended YTLPower at 1.10, hopefully all readers here are laughing all the way to the bank.

Hopefully YTLPower will be another Supermx which I recommended in 2020. The share price of Supermx moved up north from 3.60 to a high of 24.50.

TA chart
The technical chart looks bearish.
The share price is in consolidation mode, however, the uptrend is still intact.
The share price is still above 200-day SMA.
The next support is at 4.61.
The second support is at 4.46.
The third support is at 4.22.

FA report
There is an extraordinary gain of 350 million in Q4 2023 PAT, if it is taken out, the actual PAT is 780 million.
Q4 2023 PAT - 1130-350=780
Q1 2024 PAT - 848
Q2 2024 PAT - 845
Q3 2024 PAT - 699

Note :
If Q4 2024 PAT is higher than 780 million, both YoY and QoQ are higher, I believe the share price of YTLPower will not drop a lot.
The total EPS for FY 2023 is 24.95 sen.
If the PAT for Q4 2024 is 800 million, total EPS for FY 2024 is 38.65 sen.
There is still a growth of 55% over FY 2023.
The present share price is 4.61, the PER is 11.9 times based on EPS=38.65 sen.
The PER of Tenaga is > 22 times.

The projected Q2 2024 GDP is estimated to grow at 5.8%. The actual Q2 2024 GDP growth will be announced on 16/8/2024.
This high GDP growth is the highest in the Asian region.
I believe this high GDP growth announcement will help to move up the share price of YTLPower and also the KLSE stock market as a whole.

As for the ESOS, I think those fractions who smear YTL Power on the ESOS should look into the mirror and reflect on what they said and did.

The ESOS has a low exercise price of RM0.57 because it was issued in 2022 when YTL Power share price was hovering around RM0.60. The ESOS was set within the max discount of 10% from prevailing market price, and the ESOS was issued to deserving employees of YTL Power who had been with the group for over 3-5 years.

There is no reason for these people to criticise the ESOS exercise, as they could have bought YTL Power shares at RM0.60 or below in 2022 from the open market. The only reason is a bunch of sour grapes.

Usually there is a moratorium on ESOS share selling for 6 months or 1 year after an employee exercises the ESOS, so YTL Power employees will have to come out with money to exercise the ESOS and then hold it for months or 1 year before they can sell it. It is worse than other retail investors who could have bought from the open market anytime at around RM0.60 in 2022 or RM0.70 in 2023, and then sell it anytime with no time restriction.

These people who criticises the ESOS should reflect on their own investment strategy, on why they could have missed out buying YTL Power shares in the open market at RM0.60-0.70 in 2022-2023, and why they could have missed out again while YTL Power was sold down to RM1.15 in June 2023, and again sold down to RM1.88 in late 2023. And now they should rethink if they will be missing another chance of buying YTL Power low, while the share is being temporarily pressed down by some foreign funds who have switched to Tenaga.
