Malaysia's Datasonic Expects Indonesia Business To Start Contributing After September-COO

  KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 24) -- Malaysia's Datasonic Group, which makes identification and bank cards, expects its smart card business in Indonesia to start contributing to earnings from the second half of the next fiscal year starting Apr. 1, its chief operating officer said.
The company is in the midst of finalising the chip supply agreement with Indonesian partner PNRI, Danny Chew told Nikkei Markets on the side lines of an investment conference. The process is likely to take six to nine months to complete, he added.
"We estimated at least 100 million credit card are in circulation in Indonesia," Chew said, declined to detail the expected income from the Indonesia smart card business.
Indonesia is in the midst of migrating its locally issued credit cards to Europay, Mastercard and Visa, or EMV enabled chips
.
Meanwhile, Chew said the company's current order book of 800 million ringgit could provide earnings visibility over the next five years.
"We are confident to securing new jobs in the next few months," he said.  
Shares of Datasonic, which have gained 7.8% over the past 12 months, were trading 0.8% lower at 1.19 ringgit apiece.

This one can buy some for mid term. Price very cheap now.

Ringgit is getting stronger thus export counter is going to be affected in the next few month. I also heard BNM will increase the OPR by 2018 which will also affected export counter. Should just cut loss and move out from glove sector now, cheap can become cheaper in the future.

长期投资可以TP1.25 或更高 这一波应该要突破1.10 -1.00 区间 可能要几次因为有些人被套 不管会不会突破 买在区间底部是好的入场点 短期可套利 长期可赚一波段10-20% 突破1.10后如果稳定上涨下调 就没有前期阻力了 其实comfort的盈利可预估性高 下个月的业绩应该还是一样保持稳定盈利
