For those who don't know, Insas owns shares in OCBC Bank.

Most probably SBagan will pay out special dividend after OCBC completes the takeover of Great Eastern.

Just checked : Kuchai holds 3.03 million and SBagan holds 1.73 million shares in Great Eastern.

Not selling my SBagan until RM10.

Not selling my Kluang until RM11.

Abang Jo wants to take control of Affin buying so little and paying so little.

TTB says within 3 to 5 years.

US stock market is on the high side, funds there are moving away and coming to Asia which is relatively cheap. Malaysia stock market will benefit.

TTB and every "expert" were bullish way back in January. Foreign funds withdrew in March and April and only started to return again. Market this year will be better than last year for sure. There's a spike in new opening of trade accounts by retailers since January. This means old veterans like us can make some good money. But it will not be a super bull, there's never going to be one here again.

Bursa is a small pond, easier to play. We all small fish.

Market going to be sideways for awhile and some stocks will spike when the moment comes. But not Insas.

26,000 shareholders if each on average has 10,000 shares that would have meant 260 million shares.

If I remember correctly, it was once reported that there over 26,000 shareholders in Insas. If 26,000 people buy Insas also cannot move then needs how many people to buy?

Without Inari, Insas could have ended up PN17.

If by next AGM the cash hoard keep increasing and no sign of BOD reinvest the retained earnings for the long-term growth of the company then BOD should return part of the retained earning to shareholders for them to reinvest.

Not until after Thong exercises his warrants to increase his shareholding.

April has finally come to an end. For the record Insas traded in the range of 1.10 (briefly on 1st April) to 1.00.

Bought at 37.5 sen today.

Making money from any investment is all about timing, the entry price at the time you buy and the price you sell at the time you exit.

I don't feel that Insas BOD is creating value for the shareholders. I made 4X because market forces depresses Insas price back after each temporary peak. It's this continuous cycle that allows me to benefit greatly.

@MrSslee, entry price is important. Even high dividend stocks, enter at the right price.

My first goal when I started investing in the stock market was to make enough to finance the purchase of a home (I was living in rented flat then) and I achieved that by year 2000 and thereafter it was to build up a retirement nest which I have achieved. When I am 70 (or 65) I want to just spend, spend, spend, go overseas, visit the ancient sites etc.

Tomorrow I will be getting a few thousand ringgit in dividend from KPS. Sadly KPS market price hasn't performed. My average cost is 74.5 sen (ex-dividend).

Making money in the stock market is a sure thing for me. There will be period of times when you make extremely huge gains, but it is a small window of time and you have to be able to see it when the selling opportunity arises. Most other times the stock market is flat or down. These are also good times as they present buying opportunities.

When I was younger I was more "reckless", more daring, betting huge on Second Board stocks, betting on warrants etc. Now I am more into safe, deeply undervalued stocks like Insas.

I have played warrants many times, the greatest return was Affin call warrants which I was bought just before Donald Trump was elected President of the United States. The warrant was new and stock market was shaky due to US presidential election. After Donald was elected Affin share price shot up and I made a 300% gain on the Affin call warrant.

Warrants normally trade at a premium and if one wants to speculate in warrants one has to buy at the early stage when the warrant is first issued. As the expiry date draws close the risk in holding warrants rise steeply. In Insas' case the warrant premium is roughly 10 sen with about 22 months to go. If Insas price remains flat, the warrant premium will erode slowly over 22 months. Just before expiry you either have to sell your warrants at whatever price and buy Insas shares or exercise the warrants by paying 90 sen in order not to lose your investment.

The timing of the article when Insas was a hot stock. He hasn't contributed anything else this year or for a long time except for two long articles on Insas and Insas-WC in January when Insas was so hot.
