Beside tht yeoh buyback own share to avoid dillution of shareholding. There r another reason, reduce voting power of minorities. With enough votes, they dont need to care offer price is fair or not. There r rules in bursa to protect minoritirs, but stock market is still a game of shark eat fish. Nothing you can do but accept the offer price. Can ytlc minority shareholders do anything even some r refusing to sell until now?

YTLP share buy back maybe us a planning for future, we all know the power contract in malaysia is going to end on 2015... very soon.. Buying back own share now could reduce the impact of it. who knows?
