How much a banking license worth?

By having a banking license, MBSB can expand its business quickly...

MBSB is already a company with fundamental, profitable and give dividend every year....

last quarter EPS 1.75 cents... 4 x 1.75 cents =6 cents

Current PE ratio 21 is reasonable without consider banking license...

By having banking license... expect the revenue and profit will be up... so future PE ratio should be less then 20 and consider attractive price based on current level.

Foreign Fund holds more than 50% Airasia shares.

I think these few days sell down is due to Foreign Fund selling.

Because of DoJ US about 1MDB case

Earning per share is 60 cents (2016 results) for Airasia... the PE is only 5. That means, if you invest in this company... buying its share... after 5 years, you will get back all your investment amount.

I took AirAsia flight from Miri to KL yesterday and like to share with you what I found - AirAsia always seek improvements.

a. I tried the in flight rokki WiFi which allowed me to chat with my friends via whatsapp, wechat, line etc... at rm9 for 3M bytes. The internet works via satellite.

B. AirAsia provided in flight entertainment via your own smart phone for free... you have option to buy earphones at rm5

C. They start enforce the max hand carry luggage weight of 7kg.

D. To reduce the time the AirAsia aircraft parking on ground, they categorize the seats into zone 1 (row 1-5), zone 2 (row 6-19), zone 3 (row 20-30)... passengers enter aircraft... zone 1... followed by zone 3... and lastly zone 2.

The above continuous improvement will eventually bring in more revenue, ancillary income for AirAsia

Zhiying, when q4 results out, I topped up 10 lot at 2.78 when opening...and the share dropped... I topped up 20 lots at 2.70

Still holding it.

Syria war caused a little panic. But think deep, oil up is temporary. And AirAsia hedged oil more than 70%.

I top up more share at 3.03 and 3.04

If you observe past few days share price pattern, it always dropped or not moving in the morning and up up up after 4pm, possibly to a recent high.

Just to share with you my observation, hope it works for today too.

AirAsia shall declare dividend for year 2016 performance within next 10 days.

Last year 4 cents was declared on 31 Mar 2016.

Hopefully this year may declare 10++ cents.

a. Shareholders comparing Y0Y financial results but do not know about one off profit about 400M in Q4 2015. After deducting this one off profit, Q4 2016 results is better.

b. Syndicates purposely pushed down the price to collect more.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company (BHSI) said in a statement on Monday it has established an office in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to provide the non-life reinsurance services.

"After putting down roots in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau, we are pleased to further expand our operations in Asia...," BHSI Asia President Marc Breuil said in the statement.

The southeast Asian nation has attracted several insurers lately, who are eyeing its long-term potential. I thought the average passenger fare shall be lower because of mas, Malindo competition. Looks like AirAsia is the winner of the competition.

Q4 2015 revenue is higher mainly because one off revenue (maintainance service revenue) recognized in that quarter, you may check page 12 of q4 2015 financial reports

but it is 0.205 vs 0.21 now
