In a bull there will be a rotation play fuelled by themes, corporate re structuring, M n A, etc. Then this will be followed by rumours and then penny stocks will have its own field days.

I see penny stocks has done a couple of runs already. High yield and low volume stocks is still running. Look at the top ten daily.

Your example of crimes feeling pains , commented from inside or outside ... I read you. I have gone through 4 bulls and busts.

If you are referring to Tonylim last posting, yes I perfectly aware of the risk involved. The problem is I am neither a FA or TA.

Just want to ride on the impending bull. For those those invest on value, know when to take profit is important too unless like a few forummers here say "I will be and keep for ten years"

BTW the way, I do have many of such counters like BAT, umw, shang. a number of others were bought during the US sub prime crisis kpj, cbip for eg. Many like ijm, ijmland already cleared 3rd qtr last year.

KPJ and cbip etc was bought because of the industry they are in. ijm(s) were bought to get bonus and warrants issues. so is kpj, 8 lots get a profit of RM33,000 on first day listing.

Now,... for kpj ijm and ijmland, you wouldnt buy early because if you look at the FA at that time it doesnt warrant the price that you buy.

Another example ... Today, I read that Kfima (see thread) is recording the highest profits todate and hopeful that it will hit RM3-00 soon. Now it has been ageing it has never hit this price (I think highest is RM2-80 and the talk of merger with fimacorp, I have heard many years probably a decade ago. I dont like this kind of stocks. Yes in the right industry at the right time subject to vagaries of cpo prices as compared to cbip its technology and knowledge in doing palm oil infra and research. I heard they are very advanced in their research.

The bottom line is, yes it is safer to invest in value but not in a bull run, where market is toppish its better to have cash than stocks no matter what value it gives you.

Has been in bursa for more than 3 decades. Seen a felt all kinds of tricks for eg one forummer expected a double digit jump after annoncement of demerger. But I know it will not happen cos its a discounted news.
