Winding-Up Petition against subsidiary, Naim Engineering Sdn. Bhd.



Naim Holdings Berhad (“Naim”) wishes to announce that its subsidiary, Naim Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (“NESB”) had on 2 October 2019 been served with a Winding-Up Petition dated 20 September 2019 by WCP Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (“the Petitioner”).



At the case management of the Petition on 3 October 2019, the Deputy Registrar of the Court pointed out to counsel for the Petitioner that the statutory notice had expired and that if the Petitioner elects to proceed, the Court will not be issuing a Registrar’s Certificate. In other words, the Winding-Up Petition was filed out of time.

AirAsia presented the future of air travel to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Tun Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad, in conjunction with his official visit to AirAsia’s headquarters RedQ on 16th August 2019.

The tour kicked off at the Innovation Lab. We presented airasia.com, an all-in-one travel platform which now features not only travel but also lifestyle offerings so guests can book all their travel needs on one site, from flights and accommodation to ground transport, tours, entertainment and more.

This was followed by a demonstration of a seamless, fully digital airport experience powered by AirAsia’s FACES (Fast Airport Clearance Experience System), which would allow a guest to perform a digital check-in, self baggage drop, immigration clearance and boarding using facial recognition technology. We also demonstrated how digital engineering solutions such as blockchain technology and Skywise are able to provide more efficient, more reliable and greener end-to-end operations.

We also showcased other key components of our future travel blueprint, including e-marketplace OURSHOP, cargo and logistics platform Teleport, fintech venture BigPay, and lifestyle and entertainment affiliates such as Santan and AirAsia Foundation.
